<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">With the current vacancies in the starting lineup, Samuel Dalembert has been receiving more playing time and making use of his minutes.

Dalembert posted back-to-back double doubles in Orlando on Monday (15 points and 11 rebounds) and Dallas (24 points and 16 rebounds, which were both career highs). In the last five games, he is averaging 13.4 points, 10.4 rebounds and 3.20 blocks per game.

Dalembert's recent play has impressed Sixers Coach Randy Ayers and has also possibly garnered him more playing time in the future.

"The thing I love about him is he?s been able to put back to back rebounding games together." said Ayers.

Eric Snow also likes what he see from Dalembert.

?He?s been playing great. I think the last game is typical of what we?ve been trying to get him to do because you know he gets 17 shots, 24 points, 16 rebounds and we didn?t call one play for him."</div>

I have said this type of stuff time and time again, and now the whole NBA can realize it, that Sam is going to be a phenomenal player in the future. He is monster down low, grabbing rebounds and blocking anyone, anyhow he can. He is one of the fastest centers in the league, he gets down the court in a hurry, many times before the guards, which I can't say for many centers.

The only flaw I see to his game, is the lack of size. This is a must for him right now, he needs to build up muscle, so he can bang with the big boys inside. Once he has accomplioshed this, he'll be a force.

Now if only Coach Ayers will realize this, a starting spot is something he deserves, I think he'll be just fine.

The topic say's it all. Let him work on his post game, pick up some iron, and stop getting injured. Then your lookin at a future All Star. As of right now, he is a VERY important part to the Sixers. Mike Miller would probably thought twice before he went for that running lay up during the end of the Sixers and Grizzlies game. Most likely he wouldnt have go for the lay up or Sammy would have end up blocking it.

Right now, he's a nice rebounder and shotblocker...let him hit the weight room, and he'll be a nice 15/8 guy, but not an All-Star...

I think if he puts on some weight, he'll be a great player and a great inside game. Hes gettin better as the Sixers play, and he is a great shotblocker. He has long arms and some nice hops...

he has a great future and hes helpin the Sixers in every way he can.

Are you kidding me? He would have to be an all star. Especially in the East. Seriously, name me two great Eastern Conference centers. You've got Ben Wallace, who plays PF now, and then who? Z? Ha.

He's a very athletic center, and he can seriously jump - I bet he could touch the top of the backboard. He's definitely a good player for the Sixers. Watch them go alley-oop crazy.

How would he not be an all-star, especially in the weak east as pointed above by Crossover? He is already right now getting back to back double-doubles and that's with limited minutes, imagine what he could do with a starting spot.

Sammy is having a nice season and we considered dropping him at the start of the season [IMG] I'm glad that we didn't do it.*waits few years and then sells Sam's rookie card for one million dollars* [IMG]

Whoa I've never heard of or seen this guy, he seems like a Kirlenko or Bosh from the sounds of it. A great player who needs to put on some weight. He sounds like future all-star material to me, unlike Brian Cook whom by the way is someone I like though.

I saw him play a lot at Seton Hall (I'm a Seton Hall fan). He's pretty good, but he's nothing like Kirilenko or bosh. He's more like a poor man's Mutombo. His offensive game is really limited, but his shot blocking is very good.

Dalambert isn't at Mutombo's level yet (at his prime I mean). That's what I mean...Unless he's changed quite a bit since Seton Hall (which is quite possible I guess), Dalambert is very limited in his offensive skills. That's where my comparison comes in.

btw, I saw him get a triple double once, pts blks and rbs...that was crazy

Well, lemme tell you about Dalembert's offensive capabilities. He can dunk, and um... catch alley oops. But he can come out of the game with 20 or more points, without having a single play run for him.

lol, so his game hasn't changed much since college...

I always liked him and thought he would be a good nba player.

btw, I just looked at his stats, they look pretty good. But he aint scoring any more than Mutombo ever did...

And over the last 5 games, scoring over 18, pulling 10 boards, and swatting 4 shots.

    uh...okay, those numbers aren't exactly accurate...unless 13.6 means 18, and 4 means 3. [IMG]

If he gets minutes the whole season, I think he'll be an 12, 10, and 3 guy (keep in mind AI will be back also)

Sammy D... most def one of the BETTER Sixers' draft selections. And he's only in his 2nd year [missed last year] and he's doing great so far.

A star in the making is kind of pushing it.....I think he will be a solid player but not allstar material. Give him some time and more weight and maybe I will be eating my words.

*Although that block on TMac was pretty SICK*

If he gets the proper training and proper conidtioning, this meaning more wight, and/or muscle, in a couple of years, he will be an allstar. Book it.

You have to have more than atheleticism to be an allstar. He doesn't even have a consistent shot. Give him time but all star is a pretty bold statement especially for him.

Consistant shot?? He doesn't even have a inconsistant shot. Dude has NO shot...but nonetheless, if he continues to improve and get minutes, he is definitely an all-star propect considering the weak front court of the east...
