<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Arthur:</div><div class="quote_post">This says it all: </div> I'll have to agree with you on that one.
He's raw and full of potential. Nothing more. It's up to him whether he wants to be The Kandi Man or JO.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Sasha:</div><div class="quote_post">Let's hope he becomes like JO, and doesn't waste his talents like Derrick did and still does.</div> I just hope he doesn't get JO's ego, how can someone say that about Kandi, he may be slow but he's a top 5 center in various rankings.
Okay I just watched this guy play yesterday....he is like a poor mans(a very very very poor man's)Ben Wallace without the weight....and thats not saying much at all. Dude can't shoot even from 5 feet out. His two shots consist of a layup and a dunk. Allstar? Maybe in the NBDL and ABA, not in the NBA sonny.

Remeber this is only his second year in the league, he's not going to have a great night ever night.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Arthur:</div><div class="quote_post">...but he missed all of last season so it doesn't count....</div> How does it not count? Its officially his third season, the NBA doesn't look at the injury and says "Well he was injured for that year, so we won't count it". Thats like saying Vince Carter is in his 5th year instead of 6th because he was injured for a season.
You saw the game against the Raptors, right?Didn't he only have like 4 shots? Watch a game vs. the Mavs or Spurs and you'll see.
Lets say you are a rookie....and you miss your who rookie reason....He will be considered a rookie the next year....It's the same thing: His "rookie" year didn't count. Dalembert isn't a 3-year vet.....he's a 2-year vet because he only player 2 YEARS!
I don't think so, maybe you are thinking of college players where they redshirt the whole year to get another year of eligibility. But this is the NBA sonny and just because you injured for a year, don't mean that it don't count against you. Name me one player that had a year taken off of his stats due to being injured for a season, rookie or no rookie. People who should have been rookies but are signed later on in their careers are considered rookies but not ones who are injured for a season, thats kind of ridiculous. Someone who isn't a sixer fan can chime in on this one, in fact, please someone come in on this one.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting CourtVision:</div><div class="quote_post"> Name me one player that had a year taken off of his stats due to being injured for a season, rookie or no rookie. </div> Speedy Claxton...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting notMuchgame:</div><div class="quote_post">Speedy Claxton...</div> So he had a year taken off? He was on the rookie team?

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting notMuchgame:</div><div class="quote_post">WHat rookie team? And this doesn't matter anyways because Dalembert was injured in his second season in the league, not his first. Do you agree that if a player is injured for his second year that year should be taken off making him eligible to be a sophmore?

I think that applies to Nick Collison for next year also? As for the sophmore stuff, I have no idea...I really have no opinion on whether Dalembert is in his second or third season...that really isn't important IMO... I was just answering your question with regards to the rookie part...

I guess Vince Carter gets back his year off, and Grant hill gets back his as well.
