Milos Vujunic Has said he will likely play for the Suns next season after several seasons in europe. He could be the steal of the trade. The highest rated point guard in europe,he is the kind of player who could be ready to produce straight away. The Suns/Knicks trade could end up looking very good indeed for many years. Been looking at the stats,It seems as If Joe Johnson has been a much better all-round player since the recent trade occured. What has he done differently from now since the season started?
His shot has been on and he's been more assertive I think. He's always been a good all-around player, but he hasn't been able to add the scoring aspect of his game with his good passing and rebounding. So the scoring is all I'm really surprised wtih dealing with JJ. As for Vujanic, I'm excited to see that he will most likely play for Phoenix next year. I read an article about how he scored 20+ points after coming off of an injury a couple days ago. Good to see that he has the bounce back ability.
There's actually a thread right under this one explaining why Joe's been much better... more minutes, more points, higher fg%, less turnovers -- you can sum it up by saying "more confidence" it's as simple as that. Joe and Barbosa are doing pretty well, I think if the Suns can get a steady center, no need for a superstar center, but a Michael Olowakandi type center would be nice, then the Suns can be a decent contender for a while... I don't think the Suns need their guards to score too much, if they can combine for 25-30 points, I'm happy. Shawn and Amare need to consistantly get 25-30 points per game. I'm excited about Milos Vujanic, I wish I could watch him play to make sure he's what the Suns need... cause they DO NOT need another Marbury. They need a Jason Kidd kind of point guard (hey I think we used to have one, his name was... err... oh yeah JASON KIDD!!) but with a better shot. The Spurs won a championship with average guards, and I think when Amare gets in his prime, Phoenix can too.
I heard Milos could come over in Feb. Him and Barbosa will be a nice duo for years to come. I also heard the Suns want to dump Jahidi White.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kid Canada:</div><div class="quote_post">I heard Milos could come over in Feb. Him and Barbosa will be a nice duo for years to come. I also heard the Suns want to dump Jahidi White.</div> Well the Suns gave up Brevin Knight who's contract ends after this year so they could get White who has an extra year... so they might want to blame themself for that. Besides I thought it was good trade, and still do. White is a legit center in the NBA, he's got junk in his truck and can bang better than anybody else on the Suns roster. Do they really think Jake and Lampe are centers? They are 240 lbs soaking wet. We need beef and Jahidi sure is that I think they are looking to dump the $5 million so they won't be over the luxury tax threshold this summer... they've dismantled the team for the 2nd time in 3 years, and are trying to sell this "future" yet again... I'm getting tired of all these moves just to save a few bucks. Then they complain that nobody goes to the games... if you don't dress a competitive team, don't expect fans to pay to watch them. They live in the same state as the Cardinals, perhaps they should learn from Billy Bidwell's mistakes!!
Lampe can play center on offense, especially as a high-post player. Defensively he will do OK against the undersized 5's most teams have, but against the West's elite bigs he cannot defend the position in a man defense.
