look at the schedule ahead: Lakers, Nuggets, Spurs, and Wolves. Granted the Lakers aren't the healthiest of clubs, but they still did beat the Nuggets pretty badly despite their injuries. So with the three game winning streak they can easily go back into a slump, so some people may want to watch out for that. The way they are playing right now though, I think they can pull off a couple upsets, especially if they get the three guys scoring twenty points or more like the past three games. BTW: Does anyone know the status of Amare? I know he's not going to play Monday, but is that all we know so far?
This is looking bad for the Suns... Even though this season has already been decided, I don't like to see them lose THIS much :/ Oh well...

Quoting Showtime1:

This is looking bad for the Suns... Even though this season has already been decided, I don't like to see them lose THIS much :/ Oh well...
Lose this much? Do you mean the games they've already lost cause this thread is about the 3 game WINNING STREAK! My only complaint is, with all this winning and more ahead, I'm not sure if they are going to get the best draft pick... kinda sucks to say, but the more they lose the better the draft choice. I'm also rooting against New York Freakin' AMARE's ankle!! Yeah it looks bad... I wouldn't be surprised if he is out for a few games, no official word, but reinjuring his ankle can't be a GOOD thing! Hey now that Amare's out and we'll start a bench player, we can claim to be the best (Laker fans do it) I'm not sure why McDyess or Harvey didn't play... maybe they were resting them for the Lakers game. Lampe will play in that game (so I hear) so I think the PF is pretty deep, but losing Amare hurts!
Word is Amare won't play tommorow against LA. He "tweeked" the ankle is what coaches are saying and want him to rest it so that he won't mess it up more. McDyess is still trying to come back from 2 season ending injuries so he can't make an immediate impact. It seems the PFs for LA will be Lampe and Caparkapa. Joe and Marion will have to really step up for the Suns to win. But how about tonights game, wasn't it great?
It was great only because they won... Marion had good numbers, but the shooting was just wrong!! I don't know what they shot, but I would bet it's been the lowest since the Chicago game when they couldn't drop it in. They were shooting consistantly these last 4-5 games (even in the loses they were shooting well) but they were lucky to come out of this game, and it's because the Blazers have the same problems the Suns were having, CAN'T CLOSE OUT GAMES!! The Blazers should have won that game and Phoenix was lucky, it's that simple. Johnson continues to impress, and yet another game with 3 20 point scorers, they will be up there with Minnesota in that statistic (most games with three 20 point scorers). All-in-all, good win, not a good game, they better play better if they want to beat the "Bench Lakers". [EDIT]: Just wanted to ask why DOWNTOWN, who's supposed to be a long time Suns fan, is appoligizing to Lakers fans over what I say. I'm not saying anything false, when did I lie or say the Suns are the best team in the world? I just said that a lot of Lakers fans are bandwagon fans, WHICH IS TRUE!! Open your eyes... and I never talk out of my ass, I knew what I was saying and I believe that!! Thanks for standing up for Suns fans everywhere Downtown

Thanks for standing up for Suns fans everywhere Downtown
You were accusing a Laker fan who lives in the L.A. area as a bandwagoner. that's what was wrong....I posted this on the other thread, but you asking here so I'm explaining it again... Back on topic...Maybe the suns will find the success the Nets experienced after getting rid of Marbury. So far so good i guess...
The irony about that statement is that the Suns experienced success with Marbury as well. According to another thread started in this forum, Amare is out atleast two games. Tough loss for a short amount of time, but worth it if the ankle doesn't keep acting up. Scor is right in that the Blazers game isn't exactly the prettiest win the Suns have had, but I'll take those as they come anyway. Scor is also right because this is kind of a catch-22. Do we want the Suns to win, even though they won't make the playoffs? Or do we want them to lose and get a better draft pick?
You never want your home team to lose, no matter what's at stake. If you follow Arizona sports, the Cardinals were in the same situation a couple weeks ago. If they lost the last game they were guaranteed the first pick in next years draft. They ended up pulling an upset and eliminated Minnesota from the playoffs, and let Green Bay go instead. As a fan, I felt better with the upset than the first pick in the draft. As a bigger Suns fan, I'm happier when the team is winning than when they're losing even if it does mean a better rookie. As they've proven the first pick doesn't mean the best rookie (Amare vs. Yao). Rather, we should hope New York doesn't make the playoffs if we do, so we get a playoff chance and a lottery pick next season. If you're a true fan, you never want your team to lose.
I hope you're not questioning any of us on our loyalty to the Suns and to winning... don't act like you're the only one here bleeding purple and orange. We're not the ones sucking up to Laker fans and apologizing for saying the Suns would beat them. NOBODY on this thread said "I hope the Suns lose" -- we all just commented that losing does get us the better pick... because we're all being pretty realistic, the Suns would have to go 30-10 (Memphis has the 8th spot and are on track to be 46-36) just to make the playoffs and they are doing this without Marbury, and a good chance McDyess won't play much the rest of this season. I was happy the Cards won too, but at the same time it was really disappointing, why did that 1 game matter? In 5 years will you look back and think "Boy that game really helped them that year"? It's not like they made the playoffs or are even close to doing so. Losing Eli Manning could end up like San Diego losing Payton Manning and getting Ryan Leaf. So yeah I would rather have Eli Manning than Ben Roethlisberger, I never said I wished the Cards would have lost because that game was great... it's just one of those Catch-22s where you see both sides and aren't sure what's better... but you can't change it so it's all speculation anyway!
Exactly, Scor. Especially in a draft like the upcoming one where all the possible great talent lies in the top 5-7 picks. No one is saying they want the Suns to tank the season entirely, it's just a difficult situation to be in.
Make it 4 in a row for the Suns after the win over the starless lakers, hopefully Amares ankle wont bother him too much anymore, maybe he just came back a bit too early, i dont want the suns to lose though, i want them to just keep winning. It really doesnt matter how good of a draft choise they get, the draft isnt very strong this year. Boo knicks though, it would be nice if they could stop winning.
The Suns have had my teams number lately. They beat them twice in 4 days. They are playing some inspired ball this month.
They deserve it, they may not be as good as some surmised, but they're definitely not a bad team. Plus they have some awesome bench/support spark. Along with the conjunction of a decent starting lineup. I believe in a few years, after experience and a better combination of offense and defense, that they'll be championship material again.

It's not likely, but we should think it's still possible. All sports have proven that, not just basketball. This year alone, Anquan Boldin was the best offensive rookie in the history of the league, and he was a second-round pick, just because he ran a slow 40-yd. sprint. Instead of worrying about a higher pick, we should have faith in the Suns scouting department, who have picked out some of the best rookies in the past decade (Amare, Marion, Finley, Nash, and hopefully Barbosa). What this team needs is not another young, unexperienced player, we've got plenty of those. They need a talented, veteran leader to take them to the level that Charles Barkley did.

I'm crazy, I know it you don't have to tell me but I want the Suns to try there hardest and continue the win streak. People aren't talking much good about the Suns and seeing them lose alot just for a draft pick isn't something I'd like to see. Maybe theres a benefit in getting a spot in the playoffs (ehh... but will probably end up going against the lakers in the first round) but I still want the Suns to play really good. I really don't think there will be a draft pick that is good enough to give up a spot in the playoffs to get. I haven't seens any, there might be 1 that can help the Suns get a good record next year, but I have a small feeling the Suns won't get him. Looking at the Suns record compared to some of the east teams, I think they're better off winning some... Didn't they get a first round draft pick from the Knicks? Hmmm... I dunno how good of a pick the Knicks will get at the moment (probably will end up in the playoffs) but I say it's either rely on the Knicks to lose alot, or have the Suns lose enough to get a good pick. Don't get greedy, and try to get both good picks. Anyways, I don't even think what I said is making any sense, this is my first year really getting into watching alot of NBA action so bare with me lol. Suns = 2nd round playoff contenders
