Nice article. I like the picks in the sense that they are not the glamorous picks. The Davis pick is interesting. I don't know about the Teflon Dave pick tho. Beef, or whoever the BP Prisoner really is, will be happy about the firing part. Its been too long since the DWO has been in the interviewing mode.

The Davis pick is a nive pick. I think the TExans are going to be a great team this year, a wild card team in fact

I could see them coming true...except Wanny winning coach of the year...if he did though, it would be his 2nd such award, he won it 1994 with the Bears....It is interesting that COY's tend to get fired shortly after the award, thats really wierd....if the Eagles were to underachieve this year and the Saints missed the playoffs, Ried and Haslett could get canned and then 9 of the last 10 would have been fired within 3 seasons of winning the award...

Mike Lupica, world famous sports columnist, wrote in his book that if you write a column that everyone agrees with, you did a poor job. Its okay if you dont like them. I write them for several reasons, not the least of which is your entertainment. Basically, Im a young sports journalist trying to make a name for myself and this site gives me an oppurtunity to get a body of work published. I don't regualarly post because of journalistic integrety, it requires me to keep a certain distance from teams, players, and fans. I would love to get into the discussions with you guys, which i often read, but its not in the best interest of my career to join in.

Posting here may not damage my career, but its in my best interest to keep some distance. For that reason, I don't post on any message boards, although I do monitor several that I think have a good pulse on the league, this is one of those.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Chiefs enter the season with a stellar offense and Super Bowl aspirations. The Broncos do as well. The Chiefs were the last undefeated team last year. The Broncos were 9-2 last season when Jake Plummer started. Neither teams defense is anything to write home about, but Denver's is better than Kansas City's. I like the Broncos to defend Mile High. Broncos 31, Chiefs 28</div>

WHAT! Before you all accuse me of looking through Chief-colored glasses, allow me to say that I am not in disbelief over the final score prediction. I think the Chiefs will pull it out, but it will be close.

I am shocked that the Chiefs and Broncs were both touted as having good offenses and poor defences. That's fairly accurate for last years KC squad (I still have some hope for this year)! But Denver lost Portis, Sharpe and McCaffery. Not that they will stink, but they are definately unproven. The ..."plug in any RB in this system..." may ring true. Time will tell.

On defense, the Broncos added Champ Bailey and John Lynch in the off-season. That seems like quite an upgrade for a secondary imo. They already had a pretty good LB corp. Admittedly injuries have hurt them at that position as of late, but I would definately consider the Broncos to be stronger on the defensive side of the ball entering this season.

hey GF give him a break, i understand why he cant get in discusions. if he does then we might make him defend the team that he roots for, which is bad for a journalist, it might corrupt his articles. any sports journalist you see you dont know wat team he likes or who he roots for. i'm pretty sure thats why he cant get into discusions with us. keep writing sportsboy
