Hmmm, I always thought he fit in so well with Seattle- a shooting point guard with so many shooters and offensive options...I'm thinking he's getting fed up with the mediocre record and play, as well as the inconsistency....I always thought the Rockets should make a pitch for him, offering something along the lines of Cato/Mobley...

Barry's not worth that much(i wouldn't give up Mobley by himself, let alone packaging him with Cato). But I can see him joining the Spurs as an extra veteran gun. That's a biggy that San Antonio lost from last year to this: they lost DRob, Kerr, Ferry and Steve Smith, and they're main veterans this year are Horry, Willis and Duncan.

I wouldn't be surprised if Pop decided that they need more old-school ballers to help keep Manu and Parker under control, something that he's often concerned with.

Brent should go to the Bobcats.

I'd love that. I really wish he'd sign with us in the offseason, but my gut's saying that he wants on to a contender. I think its more that(with Seattle not being close to one) than any apparent problems he had with anyone in Seattle, that made him make those comments. He knows the Spurs are a contender, but he could also think about the Lakers or Kings, since he has some background in those regions along with them being contenders.

I think Brent would rather win for less money than lose for more.

Manu and Parker are very humble anyway, I certainly miss the Admiral....Kerr was great too. They even lost SJax, poor Smith never even got to play, he was so scarcely used like Darko is today. Barry's not worth as much as he use to be when he was a Clipper. He use to be so great, fast and one heck of a shooter. He seems to have really weakened if you ask me. Mobley's worth far more then him, for he is the AI container.

Barry on the Kings would just not be fair, he fits in perfectly with their style of basketball where everybody moves around.

What team could not use his shooting and handles anyway?

If this is true, Seattle should be shopping him and looking into as many trade scenarios as possible. This guy has trade value that is sky high at the moment, and could be an extremely valuable asset in Seattle's quest for a post presence.

Nets could definitely use him. Brent is both a perimeter and a run and gun type of player.

But would you then have to use him as a backup for Kidd? Or would you dish either Harris or Kittles?

Hmm, my gut feeling is Brent will stay out West if he becomes a free agent. As for a trade, the only way I can see him going to NJ is if he's used as part of a deal which sends Martin Seattle-way. Can't see the Nets even considering parting with KMart either.

If Barry doesn't return to Seattle, expect him to go join his brother Jon in Denver (Thats if JB returns as he is a FA)

Maybe the Lakers can try and get Barry. That's if he'd accept a backup role. The Lakers problem is their bench doesn't have shooters, and if we had a backup unit with guards Fisher, Barry, and Rush...that wouldn't seem too bad.

Somehow I don't see Barry playing for candy. He actually wants to get paid more than 10$ a year.

Heh, forget that then. With Shaq and Kobe covering most of the payroll, that won't happen.

Dish both Harris and Kittles! hehehe. He can also be Kidd's back up at the point when needed.

Are you kidding, get rid of Collins or Rodgers, I know that he can't play center, but those players are so bad, that even getting someone who doesn't play their position is a better option. In all things serious though, you make a good point, however I think due to his pure "game" shooting mentality, he should go to a team without established scorers, like Detroit, Billups takes too many shots, possibly only Rip and Prince are decent. Goldenstate could use him in place of NVE for some time, as a reliever of some sort, in conjunction with Claxton.

The Clippers are in need of a PG, and I've always heard that Barry prefers to play that spot anyway. The Clippers have money and he would be able to handle the ball, so maybe Brent can check his options out on goin back to Clipper land.

I like him coming back to the Clipps a lot. Brent could actually be a good fit for about two-thirds of the teams out there. I could see San Antonio making a run at him, hopefully the Clippers will also make a bid. Another team that could also use his help in making a playoff push is Dallas. He could provide help for Nash and Finley in the backcourt. I don't think the Mavs really trust Travis Best to play big minutes.
