Ok by the time its 2007, and Bron is playing in the final year of his contract. Where do u guys think the cavs will be????? contending, still trying to make the play offs, or still collecting lottery picks?
They will be definatly out of the Lottery scene in 3 years. I see the Cavs in the same spot as Phili was a few years back. They will contend. Bron will lead us far as he can. But we will fall short handed. The typical Cleveland sport story.
Well, i think the cavs will be a solid team. I have a feeling in the next 2 years we will sign a real good nba player to co-exist with LeBRIZZLE. like scottie-michael. kobe-shaq. if u think about it, the dynasty teams have had 2 great players on there team. And Pax is gonna bring us a great player if wags dont develope in a year or 2. i think we will be a top 4 team in the EAST and contending along with chicago, indiana, detroit, and miami. and bron will becomming close to a triple-double every night.
True. Cavs indeed need another scoring threat to co-side with "LeBrizzle". But who shall it be? Have any unrestricted free agents in mind Mr. newCAVSowner?
Cavs will either be gone from the lottery thing but not that high level or in the playoff! I'm sure about that!
How sure? Cavs have one of the lowest salary caps in the league. We can easily snatch a big time free agent this off season. And after we make a couple of trades this year, we will not be very far away as a contending team. I say 5th in the East in rankings in 3 years.
Sounds like you have a lot of faith in Pax to me. I can't say that I do. I liked the Bremer trade, because we wound up getting an extra 2nd rounder. I hated the Ricky Davis trade for giving up that very same pick, and because I felt despite his troubles, Ricky Davis was worth a number one. Why is that important? Remember, we gave up a number one to Phoenix when we traded for Wes Person. Time is here to pay up. We got a number one in the Lamond Murray trade to Toronto, but it's lottery protected. Folks, Toronto is not a playoff team. Had we not overpaid for Person, I might feel better. Seems to me because of a lack of foresight on the part of the Cavs braintrust, they've screwed themselves out of the opportunity to make some huge noise whether it happens in the draft or in trades. At least, that's my view of things...

As for where they'd be, if the same roster was held, I'd say they'd be very strong and experienced by that time. Much like Memphis or the Nuggets, they'd mature and grow over the course of those years and reach their full potential. They'd simply need some stronger defensive players and inside forces. Young teams, combined with time will bring results.

Severe blow to the ego and no matter what I think there would have been animosity that would severely hinder the team chemistry..they did the right thing by trading Davis...however I have wondered about Ainge,got rid of Walker because of selfishness and brings in Ricky Davis? Doesn't make alot of sense to me.. lol
