<div class="quote_poster">Quoting :</div><div class="quote_post">This has been an otherwise forgettable season for the Orlando Magic when it comes to their defense, statistically one of the worst in the NBA. But one of the few bright spots has been the gritty play of rookie small forward Keith Bogans. Bogans already carved out quite a reputation as a defensive stopper, especially considering how he's played of late against opposing stars. He held New Orleans point guard Baron Davis to 16 points on 6-of-23 shooting Saturday night. On Friday, he frustrated Boston's Paul Pierce into a 7-of-26 shooting night. Bogans has gained such confidence in Magic coach Johnny Davis that he started him on Allen Iverson last week and the University of Kentucky product responded with a solid effort. He held the NBA's leading scorer to 9-of-29 shooting. Bogans delivered another impressive effort Monday in Orlando's 106-99 defeat of the Milwaukee Bucks. Bogans shut down Milwaukee guard Michael Redd by being physical with him and forcing him to settle for several off-balance jump shots. Redd, a likely All-Star this season, made just 5 of his 19 shots Monday. "Names don't mean anything to me now," said Bogans, who had eight points, six rebounds and five assists. "They did when I was in college, but now that I'm in the NBA, I don't care. These guys are great players, but you can't give them too much respect." </div> Full Story Bogans has played great ball this season, he's just what the Magic need. He's a high energy player who isn't afraid to crash the boards. He reminds me somewhat of Darrell. He doesnt show nearly the emotion to carry a team, but he brings it to the table every single night.
Yep. I never expected him to have this impact to the team. The thing thats' impressed me the most has been his drastic improvement of his shot and his ability to rebound the ball.
Bogans is playing like an all-star instead of a rookie as of lately. I think he'll be a good back up person for Tracy. That's what we haven't had since Mike Miller and Darrel Armstrong
I think he does more than stats.. He may look to have 2 Rebounds and 9 Points in a game.. But as i watched him against Philly... He seemed to go after the ball on every rebound.. every loose ball he was close too.. He really is a magnet to the thing.. Thats awesome.. And I am glad he stepped up when he got the chance..
Yep. He is way more valuable to our team than his stats indicate. I'm very glad he has came up big when we started to give him minutes.
Bogans proved he is what the Magic have been looking for IMO. He's just on the ball everytime it goes up. I like him
