<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Magic Johnson:</div><div class="quote_post">I know Duncan is a nice guy and all but he should hold a grudge at KMart for what he did at the NBA Finals, slapping his hand away when he tried to help him up.</div>

What are you talking about, man? Duncan wasn't even mentioned outside of the preview.

Well i say if Tony Parker doesnt go shooting more than 7-8 shots( Not including fast breal lay-ups etc), Then we have a better chance of winning this, I dont know if you noticed but when we went on that 13 game run, Parker averaged 10+ assists during that time, Duncan also is not shooting as much, But kicking it out to the perimeter, But i think hes got to go to the hole tonight get some guys in foul trouble especially martin and collins is a dosey defender anyways, Otherwise everytime he kicks it out parker will shoot, If we do this then we wil win!

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Henacy:</div><div class="quote_post">Spurs are not winning by 12, this is a hard game for the Nets. They cant throw the ball in the ocean in the half court set. And against the Spurs D its going to be even harder to score. I see this being a grind it out game score in the low 80's. But the spurs will win if K-mart gets in early foul trouble. I say the spurs by 5 points.</div>

Well, it was a high scoring game for the Spurs. And what? No way they'd win by 12? They beat the Nets by a full 23.

Duncan made sure Martin was a nonfactor tonight, posting 21 points, 17 rebounds, 5 assists and a block to Martin's 7 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks. Jason Kidd did some scoring, but overall, Parker outplayed Kidd with 7 boards tonight. Ginobili showed some of his killer instinct, scoring all 8 of his points on layups and dunks in the 4th quarter. Hedo Turkoglu also had a big night with 18 and 6. Nesterovic gave'em hell with 5 blocks, as well.

On the flip side, Kerry Kittles got off the a great start, finishing the first half with 21 points, but calmed down later on and finished the game with 30. Richard Jefferson was the unexpected assist man with 10.

So the Spurs sweep the Nets in the season series. 99 -76.

Tim Duncan getting some help on the offensive end is what he needs every game.He got that tonight,Hedo Turkoglu with 18 points,6 rebounds 3 assists on 4-7 from three-point land.

He has the potenial to put up those numbers every game.

Guess Turkloglu really wanted to keep that starting spot.

And help scoring isn't want Duncan really needed. Help scoring in the 4th quarter is what was needed, and Ginobili and crew did well in that manner, tonight.

Imad we won, We have to use that same team chemistry, And that same mentality every game, That is whats going to get us wins, And come play-off time theres no second chances, So we need to do this ALL season, I love seeing manu and hedo play like this, Its shows their mentality they reall want to win, We just gt to push forward and continue to adjust things that need to be adjusted!

[IMG] is that what you wanted for this victory. You are acting like a 8 year old that just got a new toy. Dont worry its only 1 of 82 games. You still have more time to lose games to the T-wolves, lakers, & Dallas. And Dont your spurs have the Kings on the schedule next week? I sure do hope you smack them by a FULL23. [IMG]

And to the rest of you spurs fans nice victory.

All righty! Time to back up my man Henacy!

First, the mere presence of two 7footers in the lane is enough for someone to have a difficult time. ALthough Duncan guarded K-Mart most of the time, Robinson is always waiting for the help D and K-Mart knows it. So it's a set defensive stance. Heck, even Shaq had a hard time getting away from those two. Besides, K-Mart had to guard Duncan AND Robinson most of the time. Collins couldn't guard Robinson. So tell me. K-Mart trying to get away from Duncan with Robinson waiting for him on the offensive end, and K-Mart guarding K-Mart while providing the help defense on Robinson. How fair is that? You also can't forget the fact that he was suffering from food poisoning.

Now for the game, SA had more firepower. It's that simple. If it wasn't for Hedo and company, Nets would have won this game. Nets hanged on until the 3rd quarter but Duncan had ample help. K-Mart had a bad offensive game.

If it wasn't for Kerry Kittles this would of been a blowout by halftime. The fact Kittles was on fire at HT with 24 points yet the Nets were only up 1,I knew Spurs would go on and win easily.

Nets need some changes or they won't be in the finals again.Their frontcourt is very bad,Kittles had a great game, but he isn't consistant enough.I don't see the Nets trio being enough to get them to the finals again. They need an extra body who can score inside.

Nets better hope Eddie Griffin is that guy.

Umm... Robinson retired... Can you say, Duncan and Nesterovic? Just admit when your player gets shut down. It's a team effort, so don't cry if there's two people there.

You make it sound like Duncan is never doubled.

I miss the Admiral, he truly gave it his all in the Finals. Duncan may be big, but he's always a major factor, hence they always zone him.

I know what you men magic, But most defenders are so stupid, They choke on all of duncans moves, Duncan has so many moves and has phenomonal footwork for someone 7 feet tall, But Tim won the battle last night no doubt, Kenyon got out played and thats all there is to it!
