I'm going to bring this back. It's simple just either agree(buy) or disagree(sell) with the statement and explain why. 1st one, Juwan Howard should be traded, buy or sell?
I will buy for the simple fact that you didnt indicate This Year Or Next year.. Yes he should be traded.. Be it in th offseason, this year, next year... Trade him.. Before people relise he isnt worth it, trade him off, start rebuilding for the next years, and get a old veteran somewhere else for something new and fresh.
Sell. Juwan Howard has produced his part to the team this season. He has averaged 15 points and 6.9 rebounds a game. They should keep him for a while and see what's next for him.
Hold. Let's wait untill the end of the season for Juan. He plays big sometimes and comes up short sometimes. Let's see if he want's to stay and start playing like a veteran he is.
I say Sell also for this season, but likely buy in the upcoming seasons. He really has played pretty good lately. He just needs to somehow get consistent. 16 and 9 isn't bad. Only problem is he's stunting Gooden's growth. We couldn't get enough for him anyway now. He likely will get traded within a couple of seasons though because we have to think of Gooden as our #1 priority at PF.
I say buy. I don't think Juwan is a bad player, or that he isn't playing well this year, but it hasn't helped the team. The Magic aren't going anywhere this year, and Juwan is just holding back the development of Drew Gooden, their power forward of the future. The rest of the season should just be used as a period of development for the younger players like Bogans, Zaza, Hunter, Gooden and even Gaines. What's there to lose? There certainly is a lot to gain though, as playing in real games, and gaining experience will reap rewards for the Magic in the future when their young talents develop faster and eventually become the best player they can be, meeting or even exceeding their potential as a player. I certainly think it's worth it, and trading Howard is the first step.
Exactly. New topic: Can Bogans be a Ron Artest type player or will the best he ever will be is a role player?
Sell.At least for this season...I think he is really doing a lot for the team specially gooden I think he is really helping gooden grow in the league with a veteran like howard next to him...gooden can learn a lot more..if you put howard's experience and gooden skills..? you got a nice equation..so I say keep him at least for this season and trade in the off season..simple as that.
is this a sell or buy situation? lol well I actually think he is a Ron Artest on the making he is going to be just like him with the difference that he is going to shoot better 3's than artest.

I am buying this.. With all the talk about veteran and stuff.. How about Grant Hill? He played one on one with him a few weeks ago... I think Grant Hill is that veteran and not Howard... Getting back onto the subject of if hes a Ron Artest.. Yes Buy.. Ron Artest can shoot.. Hes overly praised for his great defense.. But what people dont really know about him.. He can shoot.. Bogans can shoot.. He can knock down threes.. Bogans can also really hustle for rebounds and play some defense.. Hes a Ron Artest for the future.. Well.. Artest is kinda the future, But So is Bogans.. Bogans can be a great defensive and offensive player. But if your talking about Artest Type.. Role Player Type.. I think hes both.. Indiana is full of Role Players.. Jamaal Tinsley is a very underated Point Guard.. You don't hear much about him.. But hes running the point for that team, and they are #1 in the East.. Reggie Miller is the veteran.. Who still has some left in him.. Jermaine O'Neal is the Center of that team.. He is the main focus.. You hear alot about Artest too, But More from O'Neal because of how good he is.. The same can be said about McGrady of course.. Everyone can focus on McGrady... But now and then they focus on Ron Artest.. The same can do for Bogans in the future.. If McGrady stays.. Hes The Center of the Magic.. Bogans is the option.. So yes Bogans is both in my eyes... Thats just the way i see it..
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting sportsrock37:</div><div class="quote_post">Buy or sell is if Bogans can be really good in the future.</div> Sell, I was never really high on this guy at Kentucky, and I feel the same way here in the NBA...he's too inconsistant and laxidasical (sp?) but he will be a solid bench player for a long time...
I wouldn't call him lackadaisacal. (sorry i can't spell either). He hustles like crazy and always seems to be in the middle of the action.
He shows alot of heart.. Buy him being a future in the NBA.. Deffinatly.. He has the heart and skills..

Regardless, I don't see him being a "really good ." My definition of "really good" (and it might be different from yours) is someone who will make the all-star team occasionally and I don't think he will ever do that...he'll be a decent to good player....
I say get rid of Lue, all he can do is shoot. I'm sad to say, Howard will probably be leaving soon though, maybe you can get someone or something good out of him though. Like a really strong offensive player to aid TMac or a big guy to add some strength, size and boarding ability, not to mention some decent defense.
Bogans probably will never be an all-star, but I think he would be considered a snub in a couple of years.
