<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Big Nasty:</div><div class="quote_post">EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- Kelly Whitney had 21 points and eight rebounds to lead Seton Hall to a 74-67 victory over Syracuse (No. 16 ESPN/USA Today, No. 13 AP) on Tuesday night, snapping a number of streaks for both teams.

The Pirates (12-4, 2-2 Big East) had lost their last two games and their last five to Syracuse. It was Seton Hall coach Louis Orr's first win in five games against his alma mater and former coach Jim Boeheim.

The loss ended the 13-game winning streak Syracuse (13-2, 3-1) was on since losing its season opener to Charlotte. This was the last of a three-game road trip for the Orangemen, who won the first two at Missouri and Notre Dame.

No. 4 Connecticut (3-0) is the only unbeaten team left in Big East play.</div>
