Not that he'd play those exact positions mind you, but just help the situation. I might just be being bias since he's in a slump monetarily and just want him back on his feet. However being the Freak he is as an image, he'd probably be a laughing stock. I don't think he should come back.
i think that it'll be good for the lakers. rodman knows how to piss off players. remember malone? he was so pissed off against rodman (when he was playing with the BULLs) that affected his game. phil jackson also knows how to tame rodman. he won't be as strong as he was but it'll be a good addition to the lakers.
<sigh> I like Rodman and all...but the Rodman Experiment has been already been tried. But then again, he'd be under his old mentor, PJ, instead of a first time head coach like Kurt Rambis.
Will he be a big help or a big distraction? Signing Rodman could be worth more trouble than the minimum salary he would be making. Something tells me that he wants to use the NBA as a big publicity stunt(LIke that hasn't happened before) and I hope the Lakers don't fall for it. He's not worth the trouble.

I don't know if you guys read (i posted it in another thread), but Rodman had to sit out a week after playing one game!!! He "over exerted" himself...that doesn't sound like a world class athelete anymore
The man is like 100 years old and plus didnt he say during the offseason that he wanted to join the kings because he hates the lakers and wanted to piss them off? (or something like that) Trust me, we dont want or need that clown

btw, who won that westling match. I remember they were doin it, but I don't watch that stuff so i never found out who was scripted to win...
Rodman would be a nice addition to the Lakers, if he could log in decent minutes. I'm sure this won't be the last time Malone and Shaq are out with injuries, it's eventually going to catch back up to them, and he may be able to get some quality starts in.

He's not worth the trouble.</div> We're talking about Dennis Rodman here. Does he really need a publicity stunt? The man is broke. He brought himself to shape so he can come back and possibly end his career on a bright note. Wouldn't you want a guy who can grab more than ten boards on a great night? I'm sure he's old and won't average that much but he still can. About his injury, I would do that as well just to pace myself. He didn't play for a long time and something drastic might happen if he doesn't pace himself.
First off, I think Rodman could help any NBA team that he came to, provided that there are strong veteran presences in the locker room who can handle him, and strong coach who isn't afraid to deal with him. But I think that Dennis is done, from a mental standpoint. I think the best analogy to use is a disease, that is slowly eating away at someone. Rodman, in the late 80's, was mostly focused on bball, with only some sideshow/circus freak, in him for attention's sake. By the mid to late 90's, with the Spurs and Bulls, that percentage started to turn, in favor of his freakishness. So he was more wild than before, but still a devoted bball player. Now, i think his attention is almost completely on gimics, rather than the game itself. Don't get me wrong, he's still able to play the game, IMO, but I don't think he wants to for the sake of the game anymore, and that's what it will come down to.
