JERSEY CITY, New Jersey (Ticker) - In the spirit of the presidential caucuses, which go a long way toward determining nothing, it's time for mid-season awards, which also go a long way toward determining nothing.

Our awards do not have an accompanying meltdown a la Howard Dean. They do, however, come replete with snotty remarks, which make them far more interesting. Let's get right to it. </div>

No arguement from their picks here... specially the GM and MVP. Boy has McHale and Garnett put all their chips in the center of the table this year, and its paying off.

For the last time, DARKO'S A PROJECT PICK!!! No one expects him to be good yet. I'd rather have him out there learning than on the injured list.

Other than that, good picks. I'm glad everyone seems to be in agreement that KG is the MVP. Jerry Sloan's an excellent pick for coach of the year, but I think Carlisle should really challenge him for it. Especially considering the players Carlisle has to deal with, and the situation when he was hired, he has exceeded expectations with the Pacers.
