Fred Jones 40'.. The Slam Dunk contest was complete garbage this year. Did anyone actually make a dunk in the last rounds? I'm glad J-Rich lost though, I think he's a punk. BTW : How do they measure verts in live NBA games anyway?

I still don't believe DeShawn Stevenson has a vert of 44". Wasn't he in a dunk contest a few years ago? I know he lost, did anyone see it and remember it? Did he get anywhere close to head-against-rim or anything?

Anyone here know Eddie Robinson's? His seems pretty high. I would think he would make the top 50.

Forget NBA dunkers, HOOK MITCHELL.... he had to have like a 58" vert. or somethign maybe a little smaller, but huge still. 5'9" dunking over the hood of cars.(where the engine is) Also doing 360's over people sitting down.

He's in that college hoops thread and Deshawn was in the 2k1 dc. And his head wasn't really that close to the rim. He did alot of shimmy shaking that was getting annoying.

I thought Desmond Mason jumped way higher than that. ANd I'm surprised that Kedrick Brown jumps that high. Pretty much weight to be bringing up to dunk.

I was surprised at first too, but that's how I got introduced to this forum. Someone saying that VC had a 50, and seeing Kedrick Brown up there wit'em. D-Mase did get his head leveled with rim 1 time last year with the Sonics. He's like 6'4-6'5, so he got up about 43 to 44 inches on that dunk.

Speedy Claxton can dunk? I never knew that. Thanks for sharing, very interesting to see those names up there. Francis and B Dizzle sure jump high.</div>

^ Yeap, really cause his head doesn't exactly go way over the rim or anything. Isn't 6'6, he should be kissing the rim if he could get up 50. His dunks are pretty sick though, off the shot clock 1 hand throw down.

btw, looking back in this thread, Mitchell does not have a 58'' inch vertical...i suspect high forties....

Nah I think its true, he said himself on a Streeball episode, he told Hot Sauce I think it was, and Hot Sauce was liek bullshit, then he said yeah its true, some guy (cant remember who it was) told him he could. But maybe it is a gimmick, I dunno.

I think darvin Ham should be on the list, he dunks hard, and he also gets really, really high.
