This guy is just great. He's got great potential already, and he's a sophomore. I love the fact that he's both left handed and unorthodox (reminds me of myself, really). He plays hard every night, and all in all, destined for limelight.

But the real question here. Last hear, in the playoffs, Charles Barkley fell in love with him, and every time he does something, he sets out to screaming "GINOBILI!" DO any of you do it?

    I damn sure do.

I always felt Ginobili was better than Iverson because he brings a complete game to the table rather than being basically one-dimensional. As far as efficiency goes, Yahoo thinks Ginobili is one of the ten best in the league, and I agree.

And no, I don't ever find myself screaming that. [IMG]

Ginobili's a great player and in my opinion, one of the best on the Spurs.

Gotta love Chuck's shoutouts to Manu. He's so funny.[IMG]

It's hard to question and compare effort, hard and work, but they both sure are hardworkers. Also Ginobili has been out performing, then again he has a better team. However, undeniably, he "is" a great player and will be for a long time. I have alot of respect for his great and unselfish play. He's so talented, and one of the funner players to watch due to his class. This guy is so damn fast, especially his hands, one of the better thieves in the NBA. This guy is gonna be top 100 someday, no doubt. One of the best foreign players ever.

Well, for the comparison to teams, when they want to be, both can be off the chain. Neither Iverson nor Ginobili played in the January meeting, and the Sixers got the better of it. THey're swept the Spurs in this season series.

Ginobili is a good player, but his inconsistent play is whats holdin' him back now...just gotta give him some time to see if he can mature in that aspect.

And he was chosen to play in the Rookie Challenge on the sophomore team. I'm gonna be screaming his name the entire time...

Oddly enough, they listed him as a forward in the rosters on NBA.com for the game, though... He's 6'6", and the second smallest on his team...

Woo.... that's a stretch. Ginobili better than Iverson? mmmm... not yet, at the very least.

but yeah, I can't resist it either....

Ginobili is athletic, good and getting to be better. But is he better than AI? Dayum no. Has anyone seen Ginobili use his right hand to dribble downcourt? I haven't and that's because he is virtually a one-hander. I've also seen him coasting a bit at times and Iverson never does that.

Ginobili might be better than AI down the road but all he is right now is a starter on a good team-not an all-star, not a superstar.

He has brung the ball up court with his right hand many times.

Well, pardon me then. But my impression of him is that he depends on his left hand too much.

    You're pardoned. [IMG]

But seriously, though, he can use his right hand rather well, but yes, he does favor his left. I saw an interview with him last year where they asked him about his dribbling with it. He told them he can use it well enough, but most players are used to right handed players dribbling left (a la Peja, Kobe, Francis, McGrady), so it catches them off guard a bit.
