Ok let me elaborate. I don't think that it is wise to play pgs as sgs, and guys like Bremmer are clearly pgs. I've heard Bron refer to himself as a pg in interviews (I think he may have been playing the media game). You watch every Cav game and you know Bron plays it. I just don't get why they have Bremmer on their squad, and why they don't move Bron to sg permanently, but let him handle the ball like Kobe or Tmac.
Bremer does not play, and will be lucky to sniff another minute before the rest of his 1 year contract is up at the end of the season. They brought him in because he was good for Boston in the playoffs last season and could stroke it. Where that shot went is anyone's guess. We are forced to play James at the 2 right now because we have no 2 guards that can shoot and defend. Believe me, shooting is #1 on the Cavs priority list right now, we simply can't stretch the floor right now.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting King James:</div><div class="quote_post"> Believe me, shooting is #1 on the Cavs priority list right now, we simply can't stretch the floor right now.</div> Especially 3 point shooting right KJ? Do you have any offensive players in mind whom the Cavaliers could get? Only the upcoming next Season Draft and Brent Barry sprung up to my mind. Other then that, Pierce and AI have been rumored to be traded, maybe this is the break that the Cavaliers have been looking for.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Jeff McInnis heard rumblings about his reputation early in his NBA career. The talk was that McInnis was self-centered and a trouble maker. That's the last type of player any organization would want leading their team. "I've heard all kinds of negative things," McInnis said. "There were rumors that I shot all the time and that I was bad and hard with my teammates, and that I cursed at them. "I don't know where it all came from, but I didn't let it bother me." Those rumors didn't stop the Cavaliers on Jan. 21, when they traded Darius Miles to Portland to acquire McInnis. So far, the Cavs got exactly what they wanted in a point guard and McInnis has been vital to the team's success.</div> Full story
Jeff has been great so far, if he keeps this up I am sure the Cavs will pick up his option before July 1st to keep him through next season. I love how he gets mad and lets's people know when they make a mistake, we so needed someone to step up like that.
Point taken Point taken <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">It took half the season to figure out, but the Cavaliers may have found their 1-2 point guard punch in Kevin Ollie and Jeff McInnis. Cleveland fans have long been spoiled with solid point play since Mark Price guided the team to the Eastern Conference playoffs in the late-80s and early-90s. Terrell Brandon ran the show for a few seasons, as did Brevin Knight, highlighted by cameo appearances by the mini, but mighty Earl Boykins. Before his trade to the Clippers two seasons ago, Andre Miller was the star on struggling Cavalier teams. Last season must have seemed like an eternity when the Cavaliers went through five different point guards, from the disgruntled Bimbo Coles and displaced Dajuan Wagner to unknowns Tierre Brown, Smush Parker, and Milt Palacio. They were members of a selfish Cavaliers team, prone to turnovers, and who ranked dead last in the league in the assist/turnover ratio (1.20).</div> Full story
Has people noticed that McInnis's improved shooting has coincided with the Cavaliers return to form. Jeff has been distributing well and contolling the ball brilliantly. His only downer was his shooting. So with his shot now dropping, we've become more dangerous, and lessoning the burden placed on James and Ilgauskas!
Without question, Jeff has been "on point"! I am very impressed with him and believe we should keep him through next season.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting King James:</div><div class="quote_post">Without question, Jeff has been "on point"! You only have to look at our turnover numbers before and after trade to see his worth!
McInnis is doing a fine job. 10.2 PPG, 6.6 APG, .407 3pt%, only 2.07 TO (5th in NBA in A/TO ratio) He keeps us under control and chips in with a solid 10 pts.
McInnis has been brilliant the last few games. In an interview about a week or two ago he stated that he had been working hard on his 3 pt. shot in pratice, and I guess he has been debuting since the All Star break. He's creativity and courage to take meaningful shots late in games is all a breat of fresh air. In the first part of the year, nobody aside from Lebron was willing to take a chance late in games.

We need this guy, so if Cavs want to be better, start with resigning McInnis.

His 3 point shot has improved to the fact he is shooting the 3 ball at 41%. Very impressive for a Cavalier. He trails Kapono with 52% and of course Z with 66% (2 of 3).
McInnis is determined to be a factor and it shows. He likes it here, you can tell by his actions on the bench as well as on the court. All Jeff needed is a place to play signifcant minutes, Cleveland has given it to him and he has answered.
^Yep, that's right. He get much more minutes here than he did in Portland, cause in Portland, he was the backup pointguard for Derek Anderson when he came back from his injury, and then his minutes went really down, but now that he starts for Cavaliers, he plays almost the whole game. A big change for him, and he likes it, so I wouldn't be suprised if he wants to resign with Cavaliers, and Cavaliers wants to resign with him. He got a big impact here now, and he's one of Cavaliers most important players now, and I can't see no reason why they shouldn't resign him.
