Ok, so the guy is a future HOFer, and he has proven to still be able to kick, but are we really going to use a 44 year old leg for kickoffs? You got to be kidding me? I also don't know if I can ever forgive Mr. Anderson for beating our Mr. Anderson back in 98.
I'm a little suprised. Aparently he tried out for Tice and met his kickoff minimums. I just don't see this working out though for kickoffs and anything over 45 yards. I too still resent him for '98. Next year we are going to start our search for a kicker all over again. Why can't we find a decent 30 year old kicker?
The punter is Darren Bennett, and evidently he can't kick off. I think we'll be bringing in someone after a few weeks. I don't know why we can't seem to find a decent 30 year old kicker. Do you think that we might draft a kicker next year?
If I were Mike Tice, I'd start bringing college kickers onto the practice squad and seeing what I could do with them.
Didn't know Bennett was in town. Guess the Chargers didn't want to pay him either. Maybe he can kick-off with a drop kick. Is that still legal. The two best kickers in Charger history are Carney and Bennett. And they can't get a job in San Diego. Actually, the reason that Anderson lost his last job was because of kickoffs... I guess Tice knows more than most. In the world a fantasy football, Anderson just became a whole lot more valuable...
