Stats wise Ray Allen might just be the best shooting guard in the western conference. The only arguement why he shouldn't make it will be down to not playing enough games.I don't see any reason why he misses out,If the coaches look past how many games he has played and consider what he has brought to his team night in night out, there should be no doubt he is an all-star.

All the coaches in the NBA know how good Ray is,he has quickly turned into a franchise superstar.

Well if Vince Carter could make the East squad while being injured last year, Ray Allen could be an All-Star. After that 41 pt effort 2 nights ago, he definitely is one.

Ray Allen is an All-star. He's shown through his statistics, his leadership, and the fact that he's kept Seattle on the winning track since his return that he is deservign of an All-star spot. It only helps his already strong case that there are very few shooting guards in the Western Conference who are anywhere near his level. Kobe Bryant is the only guy who can even by considered in Ray's league, but Allen is more impressive by far than Kobe.

Ray Allen is averaging about 24ppg, yet when you check the league leaders, his name is not on the list. I am not sure what number of games played is required to be considered a league leader statistically, but he hasn't met it.

I would love to see him as an allstar, but I doubt the coaches will pick him.

If he dosent make the allstar team for the 2nd year staright the coaches need their eyes checked. If Vince can be voted in after being injured why cant Ray? It shows you how biased some people are.

Because Vince got voted in by stupid fans. Ray Allen doesn't have as many groupies.

That's true. But even though Ray hasn't qualified to be among the league leaders, he has his numbers and he is in full health right now. I think when it comes down to winning, the coaches aren't going to hold him out due to missing games for an injury if he can help their team win. And he can.

With all the low post firepower that the west can bring to bear in the game, they need some outside shooters to keep the East defense from collapsing on the big guys. Peja can't play the entire game. And Kobe's only a partial answer. Ray is the full answer, and will let the West have an outside shooting threat in for the entire game.

Ray Allen should be an allstar but I don't think he has played enough games to be recognized quite frankly. I can't even see him being voted in by the coaches either. Its either his team starts winning or he puts up ridiculous numbers to make the allstar team.
