<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr_Infante:</div><div class="quote_post">Dr. J's one handed, palmed reverse layup was also an old school classic.</div> The exact play I had in my mind as I came into this thread. THE most amazing play I've ever seen on a Basketball court. That gets my vote.
Oh man, that story of the free throw reminds of another amazing MJ play, one that most people have seen. The one where Scottie Pippen is taking a free throw, and Jordan flies through the lane and slams it home. Similar to that, in respect to just flying over the crowd, was in the '84 playoffs. I've only seen footage of this, but it was awesome, Knicks vs. Pistons first round, game five(when game fives really meant something). In overtime, the Knicks needed a basket to basically ensure the game, but missed a jump shot. The rebound went high, and Bernard King jumped over everyone and grabbed it in both hands, and slammed it through. His jump probably wasn't that high compared to some jumps of today, but compared to those days it was atmospheric. His coach, current Grizz head coach Hubie Brown, said it was one of the most amazing things he's seen.
This wasn't amazin' but during a game with the Jazz in the 80's Jordan drove the lane and dunked hard over Stock...as MJ was runnin' back up the court a bench coach for the Jazz yelled out 'Dunk on someone your own size Jordan!'..well comin' back down on the offensive end Jordan got the ball and drove the lane again and dunked over Mel Turpin..on his way back up the court Jordan yelled out to the coach 'Was he big enough for ya?'

1986 Slam dunk contest - Spudd Webb 360 degree one hand throw down. March 2, 1962 - Wilt puts up 100 against Knicks And finally... Several of Pistol Pete's circus passes and just about any Bird/Magic hook up.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting VinnyMack:</div><div class="quote_post"> March 2, 1962 - Wilt puts up 100 against Knicks </div> You didn't actually see that so you can't say its the most amazing thing you've seen...the most amazing thing you've heard about yes
It's got to be Vince's dunk over Frenchman Center Fred Weis !! .. That was so amazing that I turned off the T.V. so the image will stick in my head !
The most amazing thing I have seen on Live television is when Vince Carter did the reverse double pump windmill against the Pacers in his Rookie Year. I just couldn't believe what I just saw. I saw highlights of Vince Dunking on the 7'2 frenchman but its nothing like seeing it done live.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting notMuchgame:</div><div class="quote_post">You didn't actually see that so you can't say its the most amazing thing you've seen...the most amazing thing you've heard about yes</div> I stand corrected. I believe there is audio (radio) of the game but i'm not sure....

Another that amazed me , was a live high school game for LeBron, I knew from different sources that the Kid's weakness is his jumpshot, that he can't shoot, and while I'm watching the game, he hit like 8 threes out of ten or something and I was so damn confused .. cause he looked like Peja to me at that game !
ye caron butler's shot was way behind the half line tho it was a tru coast to coast shot i once remember Tim Hardaway getting inbound pass and hit shot from end point to the other end point i just wonder if they practice that... if u ever watched Wizard practice when MJ was present, he was showing the half court shots and Oh my god,,, he made em all And Dan Majerle hit from half turned around and im not sure if he meant to do that but he walked away with "oh my god" face after realizing he made it hehe
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting notMuchgame:</div><div class="quote_post">Ah, You've never seen the Adam Spanich play before then...it's similar to Millers but better... It was USC vs Oregon Oregon was leading USC by 5 pts with about 5 seconds left in the game...Oregon had the ball and was inbounding...Spanich (a Trojan) stole the inbound pass and quickly hit a three with about 1 second left in the game...Oregon didn't bother calling timeout and tried inbounding again. This time, they tried to throw it the length of the court, but Spanich intercepted it at half court and shot it from there at the buzzer and MADE IT....2 stls and 2 treys (one from half court at the buzzer) in less than 5 seconds, USC wins by 1....crazy This occured a couple of years ago...anybody see that game?</div> WOW WOW WOW That's crazy play but are you sure it's only 5 seconds left? I'd never heard of this game nor the Adam Spanich dude... but you bet I am gonna pay for the video! My most amazing play is MJ flying and spinning and twisting through three Nets and laid it in with his right hand... the second would be Horace Grant saving the ball from out-of-bounds but made a three pointer instead...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting CourtVision:</div><div class="quote_post">Someones pants are on fire </div> ... or horribly mistaken. Even I make multiple mistakes in my old age. It was probably a Dick Schaap Sports Reporters or Sports Century type program that had those pixs. My bad. Did not mean to intentionally mislead anyone.
