<div class="quote_poster">Quoting starman85:</div><div class="quote_post">1. Second threepeat Bulls - the definition of modern bball dominance, the main core was the same on each of the teams from '96 to '98. 2. First threepeat Bulls - challenged more often than their successer Bulls team, they were still the most dominant team since the 60's Celtics, and eclipsed the accomplishments to the two 'powerhouses' from the 80's. Again, the core was the same on each of the teams from 91 to 93. 3. 97 Hornets - Glen Rice was playing the best bball of his career, and so was Anthony Mason. We also had a decent supporting cast including Vlade Divac, Dell Curry, Muggsy Bogues, and Tony Delk. 4. 93 Hornets - This team turned every bball fan in the Carolinas into a Hornets fan, and was the first taste of Hornets bball I ever had. When I arrived in Charlotte, they were the only thing talked about, what with Alonzo, LJ, Kendall Gill, Dell Curry, Muggsy Bogues, and the rest of the boys. 5. 98 Tarheels - Man, this was the team that was supposed to win it all, and was a huge deal back then in Charlotte. Their star player, all-American Antawn Jamison, not only was from Charlotte but was from the middle school I was attending at the time, so the whole school was all about him. School was stopped each time they had a game so we could watch on television, and we got to see him and a solid cast including Ed Cota, Shammond Williams, Brendan Haywood and a young jumping cat named Vince Carter.</div> I absolutely loved that heels team. four current nba players that i'm sure of but the player i liked the most on that team, ed cota the floor general, never really panned out in the nba did he? why is it that the point guards i loved in college and the really true pass first point guards always turn out to be complete busts in the nba. ed cota (unc), mateen cleaves (msu), tyus edney (ucla), aj guyton (go iu), the kansas point guard who played with lafrenz (can't think of his name) and most recently jason (jay) williams (duke). well, i guess guyton wasn't really a pass first pg and i'm not sure edney was either but i had to drop a name from iu (neal reed, tom coverdale) and i'll never forget edney's famous game-winning layup. that had to be the fastest anyone in the history of the game got from one end of the court to the other and made a layup. i'm rambling but what it all comes down to is i want to know why the nba experts complain about the lack of "true" point guards in the nba when the nba doesn't accept them with the exception of jason kidd and the ancient john stockton and mark jackson?
1.) Los Angeles Lakers (present): four future hall of famers on the same team! watch out Spurs! 2.) Cleveland Cavaliers (present): LBJ running the show, veterans playing their roles, cleveland playing with heart and passion and hope to get a playoff seed! It's one of the greatest things to happen! 3.) Michigan Wolverines (fab-five): I never saw them play together to be honest, but I saw their book "Fab Five" and just love them with their starting trend of black socks and "clown" shorts (that turned to look great) and how they were tearing it all up that year. The story just pumped me up too bad Chris just called that TO 4.) Orlando Magic (1995-1996): the season when I got real hooked with all these NBA stuff... the big reason was Penny Hardaway, who was this young, explosive, and the-sky-is-the-limit player with big-time hops and freaky passing ability, too bad the 72-10 Bulls got their revenge and swept them 0-4 in the ECF. I was shocked and real disappointed. But the very next season, an 18 year old named Kobe Bryant entered the L.............. it brought REAL joy to my life! 5.) Toronto Raptors (1999-2000): although they got swept in the first round by the Knicks, it was the team to watch. T-Mac was in his last year there, playing and proving doubters he could really play in the NBA, watching T-Mac and Vince combo playing together, WOW was really great!!!!!
1. 1996-97 Houston Rockets 2. 1994-95 Houston Rockets 3. 1995-96 Chicago Bulls 4. The Duke team that lost to UConn in the Championship Final (2000?) 5. 1997-98 Utah Jazz

Sorry if I seem rather unknowledgeale, but I don't really remember the exact timeframes so I'll say by players and intervals. '90s Jordan's Bulls- This team was just so amazing, probably because of Jordan, he seems to have made lots of players play better. Pippen was still good and still had a decent attitude, he was kept under control. I love and hate Jordan, the Jazz might've won a title had Jordan not been there. He just makes the game so difficult to win. '80s Lakers, the Magic and Bird era- I might be bias, I don't really know as to whether the Celtics were better then them at the time or whether they were on the same level. All I know was these guys were really fun to watch, especially since they had the team of "showtime." '80s Celtics- One of the best trios ever, the big three of the Celtics. Parish was rather slow, but he was damn good. Gotta love McHale, probably the best low post player ever. Bird, who doesn't like, love or know Bird, we all know he can burn pretty much anyone. All those championships and highlight plays....these guys were amazing. DJ is among my favorite players as well. '80s-'90s Pistons- The Bad Boys, except Joe Dumars of course, he was the nice guy on the team. These guys were the equivalent of playground players at that time. They had such strength and effort, I mean Zeke was so courageous, much like the Madsen of today's game and AI, that he'd contest anybody, regardless or size, strength or weight. This team was a combination of pure skill and effort and definitely among the best of all time. Don't know the era Rockets Hakeem Olajuwon- This was so great, they had awesome players. They were an awesome team, I think they still would've of won regardless of Jordan not being there. Olajuwon like The Admiral was a revolutionary center, capable of such offensive feats like Wilt. They were scorers and could shoot. That was really something, they were among the best defenders too. I miss the original Two Towers....what era were Clyde and Cassell with them? They got rings from this team as well right?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Magic Johnson:</div><div class="quote_post"> what era were Clyde and Cassell with them? Cassell was a part of both teams but Clyde Drexler was only part of the second title...the third year barkley tried to jump on their coattails also but then they lost
