If James is in the dunk compation that would be sweet. It would add a bit of a challange to Richerdson because of all the hype James has gotten this year. People would be watching him more than the others

No player has won three slam-dunk contests since the competition began in 1984. </div> Now that I see that King Davis is in the contest, I would want LeBron to participate.
He would make my weekend if he participated! I mean, bring some of the excitement back to the event. Fred Jones? Come on now, does he even PLAY? He'd better win, he's got plenty of rest.

As for Lebron, I'll love it if he makes it because 4 contestants is just too little for a dunk contest.
that would be tight if he did that I bet he told people that to make it look good when he really does
what happened to the dunk contest???? they currently only have 4 patricipants? that's lame... if it keeps unchanged until the weekend, jrich is gonna win again.... I hope lebron will do it...
Chris Anderson is in it? I dunno why. Vc should be in it but the league didnt let him because he is to old or something. They expect it to be good but they wont even allow all the people to be in it. imagine vc,t-mac,kobe,lebron,j-rich!
What is Chris Anderson going to do? Unless Lebron jumps in, this is going to be a yawner. What happened to there being 8 dunkers? The dunk contest is the most exciting part aside from the actual game, but it keeps going farther and farther downhill.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr_Infante:</div><div class="quote_post">Damn, that sucks, I wanted him to go toe to toe with King Davis.</div> KD would have had no chance. I would pay to see it though.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">As it turns out, LeBron James might not have totally made up his mind yet about Saturday's Slam Dunk Contest in Los Angeles. James ruled himself out for the event two weeks ago, while he was recovering from a sprained right ankle. Now, James might be shifting course, as NBA officials have made pleas behind the scenes for his inclusion. ``Under the right circumstance I think LeBron would do it; it is still under consideration,'' James' agent, Aaron Goodwin, said Tuesday night. ``He's more worried about his health than anything.''</div> Full Story Ok, I don't know what is going on now, but now these are more than just rumors. The NBA is begging for LeBron, I just wish I knew more, but we may not know till dunk time. Throw out the dunk rulebook people, the NBA is doing all they can to save it.
I bet you Lebron will do it. I mean, he's just looking to show everybody that he's meant to be an all-star. Put him in the Rookie game (which he'll rule in...I'm guessing over 15 assists to Carmelo on fast breaks...who's gonna stop them on that...Yao? lol)...then tell me one other player in the NBA (barring Vince Carter...which I'm not even sure about anymore) that can jump like Lebron. The boy can hit his head on the rim...it'll be crazy if he does it. I would love to see it personally, and most likely won't watch all of it unless he does. Burn
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ThaLord:</div><div class="quote_post">What's Lebron most spectacular dunk?</div> Ricky Davis oop to him that hit the backboard at a hard angle and he caught it and flushed it with 2 hands. Was amazing.
^Yeah, but like his best dunk in the McDonalds Slam-Dunk contest? I've never saw a video of that one so I've never seen him do something incredible spectacular when he's not in a game... But some of his game-dunks are indeed sick... Like that one against Boston in the preseason or that one from RD
