Majerus hospitalized,will resign at season's end

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Big Nasty:</div><div class="quote_post">SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah men's basketball coach Rick Majerus was hospitalized Tuesday with heart problems and likely has coached the Utes for the last time.

Majerus will resign at the end of the season, the university announced Wednesday, but a team source told ESPN.com that Majerus won't be back this season. Utah athletics director Chris Hill told ESPN.com that he wouldn't rule out Majerus returning this season and said Majerus has earned that right if he's able to coach.

Majerus, 55, was hospitalized Tuesday night at the Santa Barbara (Calif.) Cottage Hospital with heart problems. He was having dinner in Utah when he began having chest pains that grew in severity, the school said.

Majerus contacted a cardiologist in Santa Barbara, and later flew there to start treatment. His condition was not immediately released Wednesday. Assistant coach Kerry Rupp will take over coaching duties in the interim.</div>

no doubt...the NCAA really pissed me off with their investigation of his program...did you see some of his 'infractions'??? ridiculous.

Yea, i read about his infractions....he bought a couple of his players a $5 lunch or something like that....Too bad a guy like him can't win it all, while a guy like Jim Harrick has a national title under his belt....
