Keep in mind I'm Canadian and to begin with football isnt our thing, Hockey is, I'm so much more into football this year because there is no hockey to watch cause of that stupid lockout. I dont watch Canada's own University football, I dont see myself having interest in College football in the states, now or ever.

The NCAA is so nieve to think that keeping the system in place means more money. If they went to a playoff format like division 1A,2, or 3, the revenue would be insane. Think March Madness except for football. It's obvious they want to keep the system the way it is only to keep the NCAA out of it. Everygame would still count if the playoff was reasonable (8 teams or so).
The loss cal suffered would mean nothing, they would still be in, as well as the loss by texas, those teams would be playing for title if they had won, instead they are not. If you add a playoff the 'any loss is death' goes away, and i dont want that.
I agree with BF1. If you changed it, you would have boise state and utah in contention for the national championship. There is no way they deserve to even smell the field of the national championship.
I normally do not bump up threads that are this old, but I have something to say. There is a difference between the game of college football and some of the things player do. "Acting like Kings" is not actually part of the game. That is because of their ego and people giving them advice. They believe their hype. I know this thread was written in 2004, but have you seen some college defense recently? Alabama for example? Pretty damn good! All sports have their leaches. All. So if you hate college football, in fairness you have to hate all sports then! I love football. I love college football, the game that is played and not the crap you mentioned. College players give their all each game. The same can't be said for the NFL
