No on both counts. No way. Lebron won't do it, sorry fanboys. Has he even had a triple double yet? Why do i get the impression that if JBB had been around in the early 90's there would be a lot of Penny avatars, signatures and the like?

Unless maybe it was game 7 of a championship series, and even then the team getting scored on would have to be the Mavs, lol. 2- I doubt it. Bron is great and all, but let's be real here. Pending longevity and a constant environment Bron has the potential to break Stockon's assist record. However I see him evolving into a sg, and he doesn't have as great a finisher as Stockton did. Average a triple-double? No.
1: Not in at least a decade. 2: I think Lebron might come just close to doing it, maybe averaging 20 ppg, 11 apg and 9 rpg. Nearly but never.

Unless somebody comes out of nowhere and has a hot hand that a firehose can't even put out, or if for 48 minutes, he's either unguarded or people just give him clear shots to the basket. 2. There's a possiblility that it can be broken. I dont know by who, but if somebody out there can consistently shoot, rebound, or dish, it shouldn't be a problem.
no on both counts. 100 points is the most untouchable record in sports history, IMHO. LeBron will never average a triple double, maybe someone even more incredible then him could manage somehow, but no one thats playing right now, i know that.

This kid got all the tools..anyone who says he has no chance is lying to themselves.

As for the triple double, Lebron has an outside chance, but I doubt he ever will. I think the fact that the Cavs need him to score won't ever allow him to avg a triple double. Jason Kidd is the onlly one with a real chance in my opinion, and it doesn't look like he's going to do it...
1. Absolutely not, in today's game the record is unbreakable. 2. Probably not. Lebron is a great player but to average a triple double for an entire season is remarkable, which is why only one player has done it. It is almost impossible to maintain that level of consistency for an entire season. I could see this record being broken, and possibly even by Lebron but not for a while at the least.

But I seriously think Lebron could average a triple double later in his career, around 20, 11 dimes and 10 rebounds. He will definately come close...
one day, a huge oversized point guard with some truly great all-around skills, in his prime, will have the best chance out of anyone to average a triple double. oh wait, that sounds kinda like lebron.

I'd be surprised if he ever played PG again to be honest. LeBron is definately a good passer and all, but I don't see him ever being a real point guard. I don't see him averaging more than 9 rebounds or 7 assists a game either.
1. Definitely not. You have to realize that even Wilt wouldn't have had this record had he come along 10 years later. He still would have been great, but the numbers wouldn't have been as inflated. And it will never happen again unless you have a guy who's like 8 feet who has skills like Hakeem or the Admiral, which is kinda unlikely, but tantalyzing nonetheless. 2. Probably not. I'd say that if anyone had the potential to do it, it'd be Lebron, but when Magic Johnson came out, everyone said that he'd probably do it. But he never did. I don't think that Lebron's numbers will be as all-around great as Magic's. His scoring will be higher, and maybe his rebounds down the road, but I really don't think that Lebron will ever average over double digit assists, especially not if he's in the paint enough to average double figure rebounds. The guy will rack up some serious TD's, but lets be real: he'd have to be getting TD's almost every night, or almost every night, and that's just not realistic.

I don't see any of those records being broken, no way in hell Bron averages a triple-double. No one will ever hold as many records as Wilt Chamberlain.
1. Never, no opposing team would allow a player to drop 100 on them in a game. Unless there are some drastic changes to the rules a few years from now, I don't see it happening. 2. I don't see LeBron or any other player acheiving this record either. LeBron has a great all around game, but with a player like Boozer cleaning glass, LeBron's rebound numbers will drop. And with the addition of McInnis, he's not going to average the 10 assists per game. The player I thought coming out of college, who had a shot at this was Lamar Odom.
