As a Guard, LeBron averages a lot of assists and rebounds... and he is just a rookie, so i guess yes, in his prime when he has matured in a player i would look forward for him to average a triple-double

Lets wait for him to get atleast one before we start talking about him doing this.lol
Are you guy Kidding!!? Both those records are unbreakable. Period. No one even averages 10 assists a game anymore! Let alone a triple double. LBJ might come close... but he will NEVER be able to actually do it. As for 100 pts a game... impossible too. TMac went crazy in that first half vs. the Cavs. And he still [only!] scored 30+ points by the half. So, 70 points is still possible. 80 points is a reach. 90 points would be a miracle. 100 points would be humanly impossible.
That may be true, but it's not like you're psyhic. Any game someone can get 100 points, you'll never know. I'm just saying LeBron James can break the 100 point record, maybe not the next game, or the next, or the next, but he'll get it. I believe in him.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Ming637:</div><div class="quote_post">but he'll get it. I believe in him.</div> OMG....saying he can do it is one thing, saying he WILL do it is....I'm speechless lol
1. No and never. Not in this NBA. The guy will get under cut when he hits 75. 2. I thought Kidd had an outside chance for a while there but it just aint gonna happen.

There is NO QUESTION, that LBJ is perhaps one of the greatest rookie of all time. And yes, he has a chance to become one of the greatest Player of all time. But, you can't deny that the game has changed. Back in Chamberlin's days, 150 point games were no uncommon. ANY GIVEN NIGHT, someone could score 40 points. So, it wasn't like it was such a reach, for him to put up triple digit. Once again, don't get me wrong, LeBron is going to be a GREEAAAT player. But no one in our lifetime will ever put up 100 points........ i dunno, maybe if the NBA adds a 4 pointer .
1. never, wilt did it when the paint was very close to the basket, where he just basically nested under there and waited for the ball to come to him... nowadays, the paint is made wider of course 2. never, i think lebron will be close to do it someday, given that he said this season that he wanted to average a TD at least once in his career, but even after he said it he wouldn't be able to do it ever IMO, only close sth like 27+ pts, 8.9 rbds, 9.4 assists? But I'm hoping he would!!!!

The 100 points in today's game, nope. Only about 2 teams avg a 100+. Too much defense. David Robinson scored 71, because the Clippers wasn't playin any D on him. If the league played like the 60's players then yeah, Shaq would probaly have 112, if they played D like dat in today's game. The triple double, I can't c nobody doing that too. But it's more possible then a 100. I really hope someone proves me wrong, b happy for whoever does it.

Flashback T-Mac to the 60's and he'd average 60 pts easily, it's just 15 each quarter! But the real knock for him would be having no three point line...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting 30 standing ver:</div><div class="quote_post">... I really hope someone proves me wrong, b happy for whoever does it.</div> Indeed! Lets HOPE someone does surprise us, and break one of those records.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Fishball:</div><div class="quote_post">HUAHAUAHUAHUAA... somewhere Antoine Walker is widely smiling...</div> Hehe! Seriously, I always thought that backcourt buzzer beaters should be counted for more than 3 pts! haha~ I still remember that Magic 1 handed toss from the far end of the court... haha... Mayybee someday~ just maybe~

In today's NBA, it is IMPOSSIBLE for one single player to score 100 points, there are no if's, and's, or but's about it. The only possible way someone could ever put up a 100 point game these days would be if there was a drastic change in the NBA scoring system. For example a 2 point basket was increased to 4 points and a 3 point basket was increased to 6 points. This would be the only way someone would be able to have a triple digit game. The NBA game in Wilt's time was far different from today's NBA game. Dropping 70 or 80 points back in the 60's can be comparable to T-Mac pulling off a 40 point game today. Any of today's NBA super stars like Shaq, Kobe, T-Mac, KG, etc. would have definitely and without a doubt pulled off a triple digit game if they were around back in the 60's.
what about what magic did once in his career he got 19 pts 9 reb and 9 ast and i think that this can be broken but the 100 pts of wilt, no way
Wilt, my dad went for his autograph, he didn't want to but my mom got it, but noticed Wilt was pist because he was trying to mack on his 19,995th ho or something. My mom disliked him since and threw away his autograph. My dad said when he use to watch him shoot freethrows, he didn't really care to be there. Then I seen him on Howard Stern in 97 saying if Jordan was to play in his day he'd be on the bench. Wilt was hater, RIP, but he sounded like he was a *******. He think before he died though, he seen the errors of his ways before he died, by admitting the reason why he had over 20,000 women is because he wasn't a great lover. But I still someone breaks that record :bigthumbu

A little confusion here? Anyway, the blocks record for 17 in one game. I forgot who did it, I think the last name was Smith or something, someone clear that up for me.

Elmore Smith did it.. also, the record for blocks in a half is 11 by manute bol.. i dont think that can be broken
