<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Timberwolves forward Kevin Garnett has been voted to start for the 2004 Western Conference All-Star team. Garnett finished first in the Western Conference and third overall in the league in fan voting with 1,780,918 votes. The reigning All-Star Most Valuable Player will be making his seventh All-Star appearance, his sixth as a starter.</div> Link This is no surprise. But there is still some excitement whether Sam made it or not, but we will find out February 3rd.
Both Cassell and KG should be in the all-star game. KG is probably the MVP, and Sammy is playing great, even at an older age. My western conference all-star starters are: C-Shaq F-Duncan F-KG G-Kobe G-Cassell
Wow, Garnett edged out Kobe and Francis, honestly I find that a bit suprising... these guys seem to have a boat load of fans. Garnett does deserve every vote he gets tho.

Nothing but congrats to KG, He much more than an all-star. He is arguebly the best player in basketball today. He got my vote everytime I voted for Sam & thats way to many to count.

Its been said over and over, ASG is a popularity contest and when it comes down to it... Kobe, Francis, Vince have more fans... which suprises me a little that Garnett beat them out. I never said he wasnt deserving... obviously if it was up to me... he would win in total votes every single year.

Vince Carter is leading the entire L in votes... shouldnt that say something on the voting? People vote for their favorites. Also... Garnett does compete with Duncan, Dirk, Melo, and even Chris Webber who have a lot of word wide fans.
