<div class="quote_poster">Quoting :</div><div class="quote_post">Injured Magic forward Grant Hill said he hopes to rejoin the team for practice in late February after being cleared to resume full-scale basketball activities.

His left ankle willing, Hill said he is aiming at playing the last 10 games of the season. "The most it can be is 10 games from what I hear," Hill said Thursday night. "I'm just glad to be able to play. I don't like to be restricted, but it fits my schedule."

According to sources, 80 percent of Hill's contract is covered by insurance as long as he doesn't exceed 10 games this season.

"[The doctor] said, 'Get ready," ' said Hill, who underwent a fourth surgery on his left ankle last March. "He's allowed me to do everything. He's not holding me back at all. Now, it's a matter of doing it repetitively. It's building. It's like knocking down one wall, then there's another hurdle to jump."</div>

Don't let Hill return this year. It's a lost year. Just let him rest and be healthy for next year.

If we were in the playoff hunt, yes I would want him to play, but we're not even close, so I definetely wouldn't take a chance this year. That would also cut down Bogans and Giricek's minutes. We need to look towards the future, not just this year.

I say rest him until next season as well. This season is over for the Magic. We have to look for the future now. I also say rest him because Bogans is breaking out and Gordan is sort of playing well.

Let him practice.. But dont play... Sure he needs to get his rust off.. But he can practice.. As long as he watches himself.. Playing at this point is really high of him hurting himself again... The longer he waits, the better he will be...

I dont know..I think is not the same practicing against your teammates than playing against other teams..if he feels good and the doctors says he is good to go..I mean I heard tonight that he should be back in about a month - month and a half..I actually think he should play a few games..about the last 5 - 15 tho..

Practicing shooting isnt breaking off rust? I mean practice is practice, it is no way like a game atmosphere.. BUT, he can break off his shooting rust.. He can start running, and just scrimage to get a feel for what hes missed..

He has been running...for a few months...but he needs to get into that game atmosphere before next season trust me..it will really inspire him for this off-season and he'll be back explosive.

The Magic seriously have to think about trading Tracy, no way he is going to resig with the Magic. Memphis and Indiana could get him they have a lot of young talent to offer

It seems stupid to let him play:
    Injury chance
    It is a lost season
Cuts down on younger guys minutes.

Lets just rest him untill next season and start over fresh. (With a new coach)

It depends on what the fans want, keep Tracy to keep the Franchise going or let him go so he can get some gold. You guys need him anyway, he's one of your key rebounders, you need an awesome center though, defense, blocking and rebounding are needed. Then and only then you can get on track, you'll be getting Howard next year afterall. About Hill, I agree he should rest, just continue practicing for this year truly is lost. It's nice to see him trying though, I'm not sure as to whether he'll show his worth of that money, but it's very admirable what he's doing.

He can opt out after next season.

I agree with jump. No point taking those chances. Also Tmac_Ownz, that's why there's a preseason. He'll get into shape over the offseason and use training camp and preseason to knock any NBA rust off.

There was an article in the paper today about Hill. It said that he will likely play the last 10 games this season, that there is no back to backs in our last 14 games, so that will help him. It also said that he just wanted to get in a little game shape so that he can play with Brand and Maggette in Duke over the offseason. It also said he might ask the Magic to play summer league with the rookies and free agents. I love his desire to play, but I just don't want to take the chances that jump mentioned earlier in this thread.
