You guys ever notice that Carter never does pump fakes? There is a reason he doesnt go to the foul line much. Other players always does fakes like Jalen, Ripp, Kobe, etc. and the defender half the time jumps on em and they get fouled. If Carter did that often he wouldnt be such easy prey to guard against and wouldnt get smacked so much cuz the defender would think twice before falling for it. Another thing is Carter takes too long to set up or waits too long. Once he gets the ball, he stands still for a long time and makes the defence recover to get up on him before he decides to do anything. Those are his many problems in the game. I dont know if i'm the only one noticing this. Those r reasons he gets hit so much without drawing any fouls. What do u guys think?
damn u rite, neva noticed that before... but the real problem is he dun drive much at all. When he does, esp these days, this mutha always passes it back out for 3 pointers.
well, vince does pump fake, iv seen it lots of times. the reason vince doesnt go to the line as much as he should, is cause he doesnt attack the basket as much as he should.
Vince does the fake at times but it seems like defenders hardly every go for it, I don't think he is a smart player yet. He can score points but I think he needs a better knowledge of the game to succeed. Still takes some bad shots and plays below average/average defence. If he gets his basketball IQ up to par with his athleticism he will be a better player and you can book it.
The only thing is that he doesn't drive to the lane to dunk alot anymore.He stop doing that after he got injured.The other thing is,I think he sometimes shoots too many 3pts.I don't know if its all the time but every time i see him play he shoots the 3 pointers alot.
Carter has turned into a permiter threat. His opponents expect him to drive to the lane, but he just hoists up jumpers that hit. He really has became an all around player. The pump fake would work. McGrady and Pierce are the masters of the pump fake.

But I can't say anything else about the other games, because I haven't been impressed with his performances so far.

But I can't say anything else about the other games, because I haven't been impressed with his performances so far.</div> its wierd, its flashes of greatness. at the beginning of the season, he was starting to look like the vince of old, then he kinda reverted back to the jump-shooting vince, now the past two games against detroit and lakers, hes going back to the attack the rack vince. i hope we see some consistancy with the latter
