...gimme your opinions on his game and if he belongs in the League and if so how good he'll be....I'll chime in with my opinions after I read a few...
I like Duhon a lot...he's unselfish, <u>he's a 4 year player from an awesome program</u>, he's a great leader and a great defender...His shot looked great as a freshman, but it's on-and-off now. He doesn't possess spectacular speed or quickness, but it's still above average. He doesn't seem to finish that well around the basket area, and he can be "too unselfish" at times.... He'll definetly be mainstay in the league...I see him as a solid backup, or a 10 and 7 guy as a starter down the line. He's going to be like Earl Watson but with a better 3pt shot.
He'll be a solid player but not an allstar. I see him as a possible Eric Snow but with a three point shot in his arsenal. Everyone would be saying in a couple of years that he is one of the more underrated players in the NBA but not allstar material.

he'll be a late 1st rd or early 2nd rd pick...he'll likely be a career backup- a good one at that- and average around 9 ppg and 4 apg...he still needs to become a more consistent shooter and get his teammates involved more...hes a nice defender, but I think he'll be a decent to above-average NBA player...
duhon will b one of the better picks with great potential in the draft. i can see him being like paul pierce falling in the draft but still being able to play better than where he was drafted. he probably won't end up being an all star in his first few years but DEFINETLY in the long run, much like sam cassell this year. but do you guys not watch the nba... nobody cares at all about defense.. if he can shoot, pass, and dunk he will be a star in this league.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting mvk_4:</div><div class="quote_post"> nobody care at all about defense.. if he can shoot, pass, and dunk he will be a star in this league.</div> Defense is very important in the NBA...that's why many of us touched on Duhon's defensive tenacity... I can name a ton of guys who can shoot, pass, and dunk and didn't make the league...
Jason Gardner was a 4 year player at an awesome program and look where he is now... I think Duhon will fare better than Gardner but I dont see him being an all-star. Eric Snow is a good analogy.

He is a little undersized at 6-1, and nowadays all the PGs are getting bigger. He is a great leader, and understands how to play PG. His jumpshot is fundamentally sound, but he doesn't hit a great deal of them. He has decent quickness and speed, and can get to the basket. Duhon is a GREAT college basketball player. He will be a good 2nd round pick for someone, and be a good backup.
I see him as this year's Carlos Boozer, i.e. because he won't be a superstar, he won't go in the first round. Make no mistake, he would be a top 10 floor general in the league right now. I'm not a huge fan of Duke, and I view him as pretty cocky, but that is really what makes him the player he is - absolute confidence in his ability. Eric Snow is an outstanding analogy, but I would rather Duhon as a leader of a championship team, if he were to get on the correct ballclub.
lol. make no mistake? he wouldn't be a top 30 floor general right now in the nba. you just don't immediately pick up the nba, especially if you're chris duhon. let's get that out of the way. if someone told me i had game like eric snow i'd be rather disappointed. (assuming i was the man at college, and what not.. but of course, i'm really not.. but, theoretically..) i have no idea where duhon falls in the draft.. nba teams go after different people for unknown reasons.. look how early dunleavy got drafted.. sheesh. duke players always get into the nba somehow.. so duhon will be in the league.. i'd say somewhere between 15-25, just on the name alone.
2nd round pick i'm guessing. Good defense, but being at duke it seems he doesn't really shine or anything, but i'm not exactly a nba scout or anything. I did watch the wake duke game last week and chris paul did a number on duhon. paul is gunna be great
