Given an opportunity against one of the worst in the West before taking on some of the elite of the East, the Heat took advantage with a 97-88 victory Friday night. "You want to go into a stretch like that coming off a good effort," coach Stan Van Gundy said. Although just 20-27, the Heat has shown it can compete with the league's lesser half, improving to 12-8 against teams with losing records. It also continued its recent home success, winning for the 10th time in its past 13 at AmericanAirlines Arena.</div>
The Heat just played a solid game, I was also glad to see Udonis starting instead of Malik Allen. The Clippers played a sloppy game and had a lot of careless plays. Corey's monster windmill dunk was spectacular, but what's up with his arm sleeve? Iverson wannabe? Here is the box score: http://www.nba.com/games/20040130/LACMIA/boxscore.html
Lots of players wear sleeves now. Steve Francis wears one on his leg, for example. The players wear it for a reason, they need it to help their arm muscle.
It probably helps concentrate those muscles together or something lol. After the players do all that lon-range shooting, their muscles probably get tense.
