http://www.boston.com/sports/articles/2004...s_out_of_place/ Horrible game by the Celtics last night. Once again ahorrible defensive night. Horrible shooting as well, Pierce continues to struggle. The young guys are finally getting some playing time, Hunter and Perkins got a few minutes which is good. great game by Marc Blount 22 and 11. But the defense was horrible, H20 didn't even play and the Knicks still scored 94. [quoteright]"I was concerned about the week, and everything that's gone on. Now, we're kind of back to reality here. I was really concerned about this particular game because [the Knicks] are on our heels, and I think they smelled blood a little bit." John Carroll[/quoteright]
We have to sign a head coach, and try to refix our line-up due to thoughs stupid trades at the beginning of the season, the Knicks have got significantly better and we are worse, I don't know what Ainge is shooting for but its obviously not the playoffs. I am happy to see our big man is getting it done (Blounte) but we are going to need a lot more from Davis,Pierce, and Welshe if we even want to see the 7th or 8th seed of the playoffs.
I know Ainge may be making some strange moves, but he's looking towards the future. Which team had a better chance at one day becoming an NBA powerhouse, this team with two first round draft picks and a lot of cap space aftere the season, or the team of last year? There's no use in making the playoffs as a six seed every year, maybe winning a series and then losing. Ainge figured they may as well rebuild now, rather than wait for Pierce to get frustrated and want to leave.
