<div class="quote_poster">Quoting :</div><div class="quote_post">Magic owner Rich DeVos said Saturday night that he'd like see an arena built in the heart of downtown.

"It would make downtown vibrant again," DeVos said before the Magic faced the L.A. Clippers. "The business it would produce . . . people at the restaurants, bars. Everything would be alive again."

DeVos confirmed that the Magic will reopen discussions with city and county officials late this month. "We have to talk about it again," DeVos said. "It really comes down to, 'Do you want a professional sports team?' Don't do it for me; do it for yourselves."</div>

He's just wasting his time. We didn't have enough support last year, what makes him think that it has changed? We have much less support this year with all of our losing. I just don't understand how he thinks he can get it if it failed his last attempt when we had more fans.

Like I said before. He needs to wait until the Magic have a good preseason, season, and postseasin before trying to rebuild the arena.

The Magic have a good chance of getting the new arena approved. If they dont there is a serious threat of relocation. So if Orlando wants a pro team they better approve the new arena. David Stern wants the Magic to stay in Orlando but he knows w/o a new arena it will be impossible.
Anyone have a map of where the new arena will be

If not getting a new arena means relocating.. Then please, get a new arena.. But if isnt needed, then don't bother.. They have trouble filling seats as it is, sure it would bring more people, but why not wait till the team starts winning again..

Most people in Orlando don't care about the Magic now that they're losing. Now if they're winning, they would care. There was so many fans when we had the 3-1 playoff lead last year. I don't think it will get accepted.
