It wouldn't shut down the fast pace if you would limit it, and if it would cost the requesting team a time out. Besides, I would rather have a right decision than a quick ending of the game.
oh yeah that would be good... like if a team wants a replay, it would cost them a timeout.. that would definitely limit coaches and players from asking for too many replays.
1. Eliminate the traveling and palming. Its ridiculous. Guys who fake a crossover then take it the other way are blatantly palming the ball. Taking what 3 or 4 steps before you dunk? Stupid. 2. Start telling people to play defense, real one on one face up defense. Not clutch and grab, hand checking bump defense. 3. Get rid of the armbar in the post. What is that? If you cannot hold your own in the post with your lower and upper body get in the weight room. Sure Shaq's huge, start fronting him and putting someone over the top.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting okaforever:</div><div class="quote_post"> i'm all for handchecking. when you play street ball, you hand check. or i do at least. how can you play defense with your feet, and completely ignore your hands. a foul is one thing.. but handchecking isn't that bad, imo. </div> Check the rule book which has stayed the same for at least the past 40 years. Hand checking is a foul. You play by keeping your chest in front of the other player, if he moves right, you are supposed to either beat him to the spot or give ground to get back in front. Its not that hard, its all about desire to move your feet. People get mesmorized by where the ball is, go back to fundamentals, like my junior high coach taught me, "follow the belly button, not the ball." If you do that, all of the fancy dribbling will not mean a thing. Play some defense people.
1 - Kick ball wouldn't stop the game, or at the very least, the shot clock would not be placed at 14 seconds. 2 - It would be funny to give Technical fouls to floppers. (For shaming the game). You can usually tell when someone is flopping, due to how they fall. 3 - Get rid of Defensive 3 seconds. It promotes getting bigger (size) or getting better (shooting). 4 - Limit continuation calls. It gets ridiculous to see someone "get fouled", take 2 full steps, and shoot the ball (driving the lane is different). 5 - Get rid of the old Pumpfake-defender jumps STRAIGHT UP(arms not in a forward manner)-offensive player leans in and THEN "takes a shot". If the offensive person is initiating contact, then he just gets contacted. What do you think?
