How is he doing? Haven't heard much about him recently. He was a big timer when he was with the Lakers, is he still playing at that level?
Jones has suffered the whole "Vince Carter" disorder...He was a great slasher and finisher when he was young...then he got injured a couple of times and learned how to shoot from the outside...All of a sudden, he's become a three pt shooter and he rarely takes it to the bucket anymmore...
EJ use to be a great defender too, he was so damn fast, one of my favorite stealers before. He seems to have gone cautious and lost the edge and explosion. Like NMG said, the Carter fiasco, another is Kittles, that guy use to be able to do everything, now all he can do is shoot the jay and when he can't anymore like Collins or Rodgers, he's done for.
You guys remember that play where Jones took off about a foot in front of the foul line and dunked it on Andrew Lang...that has to be one of the greatest plays I've ever seen...
As long as Miami pay Jones and Grant $13m each...they will do nothing. They have to try to trade them because they are two of the most overpaid NBA players ever...
Big time maev, they could really acquire some high quality SG/C for them, since they still have 'potential' value... trade them... trade them... trad...

That was a long lay-up man. He's still getting a few steals per game but I agree that he sorta resorted to 3pt shooting.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr.Wade:</div><div class="quote_post">Big time maev, they could really acquire some high quality SG/C for them, since they still have 'potential' value... trade them... trade them... trad...</div> Pat Riely said he had a few trade offers, but he really couldn't get equal value for either of them. Once thier contracts get a little smaller years wise people will be knocking down the Heats door trying to trade for the guys.
Ya, The Vinsanity thing is with him, and hes getting old, he would be a good backup, but just look at how much he gets paid, they should put him on the bench or trade him, Rafer at PG and Dwyane Wade at SG.
Make a petetion to trade Grant and Jones! If that ever worked, it'd be amazing. Jones and Grant jsut aren't what they used to be... end of discussion
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting L.Sooch:</div><div class="quote_post">Ya, The Vinsanity thing is with him, and hes getting old, he would be a good backup, but just look at how much he gets paid, they should put him on the bench or trade him, Rafer at PG and Dwyane Wade at SG.</div> he's still the teams top scorer, no way he's goin on the bench. pat riley said in an interview that the majority of offers the team got for trades were for jones, so it seems that a lot of teams out there don't think he's over the hill. he also said they were ridiculous and rejected them all.

That was a totally different Eddie Jones back then...now he's a predicatable outside shooter...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AIFan:</div><div class="quote_post">How old is Eddie Jones now?</div> We'll, he came into the league in 94', and he was 23 at the time I believe...so he should be 32 or 33 years old now....
