I deeply think that if Ricky Davis was granted superstars minutes (35 & +), the celtics will have one of the best 2-3 combination of the league.

Ricky Davis needs to learn first of all. He's very capable of playing well but reminds me a lot of Swift, Stromile Swift that is. Athletic yet lazy. He needs to work some more to become a starter, once he becomes worthy of that spot, it'll be great for Pierce as he'll be sharing the offensive dependability load.

Also his attitude needs to change, he thinks too greatly and too highly of himself. He is good yes, but he can be better, once he learns, once he improves. He'll be worthy of that spot, a great boost for the Celtics. Especially once some more great offense and defense are added to the Celtics, come the next draft, they'll be on track again. The thing is, I may be bias as I found him to be a glory hog during his Cavaliers day and LeBron just being inducted. So don't really mind or listen to my opinion as I could be both bias and wrong.

I personally love that attitude..If T-Mac had that attitude he would be 10 times better...just like jordan thinking of winning and being the best..

anyways , I do think he should be a starter.

Yes, but Ricky D. has played (somewhat) consistent, and he got 20 5 and 5, so he is proven.

Sure he can start. But it would leave a huge offensive hole in the Boston bench.

Ricky is scoring more points every day. He is quick, rough and he should be a good partner for Paul Pierce. He isn't 6th Man. He should be starter, and play something about 35 or more minutes.

Ricky is a good player but until he learns how to play smart TEAM basketball he should be benched. He stacks up the stat sheet when he is the #1 option but can he operate as the second fiddle in the Paul Pierce Show? IMO, he still plays undisciplined basketball and he needs to learn how to play in a system instead of for himself before starting.

He is selfish. Very selfish. I agree with CourtVision. He must play team basketball, becouse now he want to have the best individual statistics. But i think that he would be able to start as first five.

yea i remember him trying to get himself a rebound for his career triple-double, he should learn more about team work, which means sacrificing your own personal stats to help the team win every game

That just made me lose any respect I had for him when I saw that.. Ricky has the talent to be a starter and probably the second best on the team.. But hes way to much of a bad attitude type player.. He could learn a lot from Paul Pierce if he tried.. Not only on the court wise, but attitude.. Paul Pierce has one of the best attitudes ever.. He never runs his mouth, he never plays selfish.. The only thing I have ever seen him do was throw and kick that basketball.. But it was purely because he was upset at the refs calls.. Other than that, I know of nothing else hes done.. Hes one of the most under-rated players in the game, and he dosnt whine about it..

Anyway.. Going off there.. Ricky Davis should be a starter when he learns to be more respectful and play like a team player.. The celtics have all the talent in the world to be a EAST play off team, with Davis, Pierce, and the production of Jiri Welsch..

Ricky does seem to have quieted down in Boston though, he fits right in the city from the looks of it.. I think the change was for the better for him.. Danny Ainge was actually making a good decision, getting a bad attitute player out of a city and team that dosnt have a good one at the moment, but are turning for the better, without him.. All he did was gave Ricky another Chance, which hes taking.. He just has to over come his bad attitude..
