I've always hated Fox, he played like garbage when he ever played for us in the Olympics, and now he doesnt want to play for Canada, turned his back on us, just like many other Canadian athletes. Then when they retire, they come back to Canada for pension, and the good healthcare. They just use the system. Nash, saying he's not gonna play for Raptors, and Gretzky. Comes back and does stupid commercials, but never did play for the leafs. All a bunch of sell-outs, but i especially hate Fox. Plays good against us, and plays like crap when he's with us.

I don't think this guy knows what he's talking about. Just because players don't sign with teams in Canada because they are from there doesn't make them a sellout.

That statement is just ignorance in the first place.

for real courtvision! this thread is pure ignorance. just because nash doesnt play for the raps doesnt mean anything. nash is ALWAYS doing things for canadian ball, always plays on the olympic/wold championship teams, and is a proud canadian. he even says that his favorite games are in toronto. to top it all off, hes from victoria b.c. so why should he play for the raptors? hes the leader on a top team in the nba and has a shot at a championship. why should he throw that all away to play on a team that isnt even his home team.

btw, NEWSFLASH, the leafs arent the only canadian team in the nhl, gretzky had his best year as an oiler, as in the edmonton alberta canada oilers. and he put together our last olympic team, the one that won the gold medal? member that? and he comes to canada to do commercials, doesnt that say something more then just staying in L.A. to do u.s. commercials?

cant really blame fox for feeling like a yank in some way, hes lived in the states for years and years, married to a yank, he was even born in greece, so hes not a full-blooded canadian

get your facts straight before you run around making accusations

All you guys are right, but not about Fox. The man wouldnt even play for us in the olympics anymore. As for Magloire I respect his decision because of the free agency problem.

    LOL!! your not justifying anything

fox's wife, had a baby in may, and fox wanted to be with his family. dont you think family comes first? magloire made demands about playing time, and coach triano wouldnt guarantee jamaal any playing time, so jamaal decided he'd just work on his contract and not play. whos the bigger turncoat here? a guy who's committed to his family? or a guy who's ego got in the way of representing his country in international ball?

Yea i know, haha, i just hate him regardless. I was watching a retro preview of one of the 90's olympics game with him and Nash, and we lost because Fox had the ball in the final possession we were up by 1, then he was actin like an idiot with the ball then someone just poked it out of his hand and ran up court for the easy lay in, oh man that pissed me off, then I watch the Raps Lakers game, fuelled my anger even more haha

So because he had a turnover you call him a sellout? I'm sorry dude, but I really don't think your opinions are very justified. This post is horrible.

I couldn't agree more. He's just a normal person like anyone else. Not really a case of patriotism if you ask me. Great player. Any form of hating is usually disliked by me on my part anyway, unless it's someone like Derrick Coleman.

Haha, very interesting thread indeed. ANd i notice CourtVision and dj both hate rookies [IMG] Yeah close or just delete it. Fox is a great player and bball players shouldnt be too much considered as a real nice person or something, i only admire them playing bball and not in personal life (its like with actors anyways) I can understand people hating players (like i hate vannistelrooy cause hes with manu and im arsenal fan) though.
