<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">Pathetic performance by the Lakers tonight. Another game, and yet another injury as Kareem Rush went down with an ankle sprain. The Lakers backcourt shot a miserable 8 for 32 (25%) tonight and were completely outplayed in this game. Only Payton and Slava managed double digits and the team shot a combined 35.7% from the field. The Pacers beat the Lakers to the ball on numerous times and controlled the boards all game long. Even Fred Jones got into the action slamming the ball over Slava in the 2nd quarter.</div> Thanks for clearing up the game with a recap, missed this one tonight. From the looks of the box scores and what you have said, seems like they played horrible tonight. We'll have Shaq back next game anyway.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">Even Fred Jones got into the action slamming the ball over Slava in the 2nd quarter.</div> what do you mean "even fred jones?" jones is a baller. did you see when he "got into the action" in the pacers/suns game and hit his head on the backboard as he blocked barbosa's apparent uncontested layup. jones can play and he's starting to do well consistently.
Why do you take a statement like "even" Fred Jones as a knock on him? I know who Fred Jones is and I've followed his college career with the Ducks. He's going to be the second coming of Michael Finley, and will improve his game once Reggie Miller retires.
This is just so disgusting. I don't know if I can find abetter word than disgusting, but the way I feel right now I just want to explode. The Lakers only managed to score 72 points in the entire game? And only 26 points at the half? 26 POINTS AT THE HALF! As I look at this horrible box score, it says here Slava was the leading scorer with 14 points? Gary Payton with only 10? And Walton 9? And yes, the man I just love to criticize all the time...Devean George 4 points on 1/4 shooting. Can somebody please wake up Phil and demand a change in the starting lineup? I've complained long enough. It sucks that Kareem Rush got injured and what else is new this year with this 2004 squad? Injuries left and right, players can't stay healthy. I hope the person next to go is Devean George. Then maybe Rick Fox won't have to fight for his once starting role. Is there a chance that the Lakers can recover and win in Cleveland? Only time will tell. :-o
Okay I have gotten my first real taste of what GP is like this season. I can not believe he didnt decide to take over a game for the Lakers. He doesnt even to seem half the drive he is so well known for. I really didnt expect the Lakers to win this game, considering Shaq was out... but its obvious they stood no chance once the game began. Just to complicent.
