There was a Poll on http://www.nba.com and most people voted J O'neal from Pacers as the MVP. I dont get that. When you see the stats of KG you see a MVP and a leader to his team. Even though I'm Lakers fan i say KG is the MVP this year
Michael Redd was voted player of the month in that same link you know.Give the guy his props as well.

Garnett won the entire NBA.com polls with more than 50% of the votes... which says the fans are starting to realize how good he is. Props to Michael Reed... this guy is becoming a real leader in the NBA. I wish I had his jump shot.

Redd is unstoppable when he gets hot...he quickly becomin' one of the guys I love to watch
Glad to see Redd get honours. He's been just plain AWESOME, glad to see him recognition. What more can you say about Garnett? How about MVP. He's so versatile, and powerful. If he is to somehow lose again this year, then the NBA front office must be run by blondes.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Big Nasty:</div><div class="quote_post"> Redd is unstoppable when he gets hot...he quickly becomin' one of the guys I love to watch</div>Exactly right. Didn't he hit 9 three's in a quarter?

Yes, he truly has shown his worth hasn't he. Especially since making the ASG after not making the Sophmore Rookie Game. He and Randolph are such great hard workers. Tough win for whomever will get the MIP. As far as KG goes, he's definitely the MVP. Has always been deserving, just always fell short due to the cast and getting booted in the first round. It'll be great to see him get what has long since been due.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rudeezy:</div><div class="quote_post">Exactly right. Didn't he hit 9 three's in a quarter?</div> He actually had eight 3-pointers vs Rockets on February/20/2002. He had 9 the whole game. And thats an NBA record I think no one will ever beat. Yeah Garnett wins as usual, we all know he is the best player in the NBA and he is better then Tim Duncan.

Before, people are picking KG over TD because they're saying that TD is boring. What a way for KG to prove people wrong. Stats-wise, personality-wise, excitement-wise; KG is better than TD.
[quote name='AirJordan']He actually had eight 3-pointers vs Rockets on February/20/2002. He had 9 the whole game. And thats an NBA record I think no one will ever beat. The 8 3pts in a quarter is a record. But Kobe broke Dennis Scott's record of 11 with hitting 12/18 3pointers.
KG is no doubt MVP this year. No one is playing near him, and hes just playing a crazy all around game. No surprise for him being the Player of the Month, expect more of this to come.
When you look at the efficiency ranking, it's just ridiculous to see ow far ahead he is of the competition. :king: Player G EFF 1. Kevin Garnett (Minnesota Timberwolves) 47 <font color="Red">33.11 </font> 2. Elton Brand (Los Angeles Clippers) 33 27.64 3. Tim Duncan (San Antonio Spurs) 46 27.22 4. Brad Miller (Sacramento Kings) 46 24.30 5. Tracy McGrady (Orlando Magic) 48 23.65 6. Predrag Stojakovic (Sacramento Kings) 45 23.42 7. Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas Mavericks) 43 22.49 8. Well, I really don't think it is a question this year. He is undoubtedly the best player this year, IMO.
