<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Carlos Boozer helped make up for LeBron James' poor shooting performance with 21 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to an 85-82 win over the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night. Hours after learning he was passed over for the All-Star game, James was 5-of-19 for 12 points. The sensational rookie, coming off a career-high 38-point game, was not among the 14 reserves announced Tuesday. Boozer made two free throws with 8.9 seconds left, after grabbing an offensive rebound off one of James' many missed shots, to give Cleveland the lead for good. Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 15 points and Jeff McInnis added 11 points for the Cavaliers, who have won seven of nine. Chauncey Billups, who missed a 3-pointer just before the buzzer, had 19 points for the Pistons. Richard Hamilton had 18, Tayshaun Prince added 13 and Ben Wallace had 17 rebounds, five blocks and five points. Detroit had won four straight by a total of eight points, and five straight at home against Cleveland. The Pistons fought back from a 15-point, first-quarter deficit to take the lead in the third quarter.</div> Recap Box Score One thing that stands out that cost us the game was our poor free throw shooting. The team shot .565 from the line, which was 10 misses total. Out of those, Corliss missed 4 and Ben missed 3. Corliss is a .787 FT shooter and he shot .500 tonight. The Pistons don't have many nights where we shot sub .600 from the line but it probably cost us the game tonight. Also, do I ever hate Rebraca. 14 minutes and nothing to show for it except 3 PF and 3 misses. (Well, also a block and 2 offensive rebounds) I would rather have Fowlkes out there playing center. At the very least put in Darko, let him make a few mistakes and learn from them. Get better as you go along. I don't think I have to mention the fact that it is hard to win games with sub .400 shooting. This could be because the team was tired. Next game is at New Orleans. They have been playing poorly recently and hopefully the Pistons will be able to rebound.
Well, the Pistons are tired so I guess that's their excuse. On the bright side, I really enjoyed watching Lebron. His passes are what impresses me; he'll drive to the basket with a defender in front of him, and he could probably shoot and draw the foul, but somehow he knows exactly where everyone is on the court and he flips the ball to a teammate for an easy bucket. I bet about 80% of players in the league would shoot. Of those, 60% aren't smart enough to know where to pass it. Lebron sees the court so much better than other players. And he's only nineteen, it's sort of scary. Edit: Those of you who watched on TV, did you see Pudge? They introduced him and it was pretty cool, he got a standing O. I'm not thrilled with the money they paid on him, but he seems happy to be here.
