Where are the 3peat Lakers on All Time Greatest Teams? I also think PJ should be ahead of Riley. And finally David Robinson should be higher up the list, possibly over Barkley and Malone.

For the 3Peat Lakers..i don't think but one of their squads(the 99-00 team)would be considered for this list...but I dunno.. LOL I didn't make the list so I don't know their criteria.

The Laker team, which almost swept the entire playoffs until 1 loss to the 76ers in the Finals. How can they not be considered one of the greatest of All Time by Athlon?

That was the biggest problem I had with it. I think you can make a case for 3 people as the greatest ever..Michael Jordan,Bill Russell & Wilt Chamberlain..But I don't think there is anyway in hell that Oscar,Larry,Magic or Kareem belong over Wilt...

    I agree.

His accomplishments are unreal, he set records that will never be broken. Rookie of the year, 4 time MVP, 2 Time All NBA team, 2 Time All Defensive First Team, 13 time NBA All-Star, Led the NBA in scoring seven straight years, Scored 100 points in a single game, Holds single-game record for most points by a rookie...I could go on all day. Granted, times have changed and he wouldn't drop 100 points in todays modernized game. But, he's better than number 7.

The top 10 is a hell of a list, but Wilt got ripped.

I love Bill Russell's game. He was part of the Celtics era, and he led them to 11 championships. Just like Wilt, he set records that will be very difficult to break. I don't see anyone grabbing 32 rebounds in a half of basketball. Too much zone and oversized players now days.

I also think the Lakers should be on there. Their 3-peat roster should have gotten some recognition. They played some amazing basketball and breezed through the playoffs.

Where is SHAQ!!! Rodman over the most dominant player in the NBA Oneal?? Does this list not include current players? Some people may not agree but I think Shaq is top 5-10 all time just because of his dominance.

It's a rather flawed list...however,I thought it was interesting since it differed from most lists I have seen.

i tought the lst didn't include active players too, but karl malone is there (too low IMO). did they think he's retired already because he's not playing?

i have so many disagreements with that list i'm not even gonna bother.

I may seem ignorant but is Athlons a leading baskeball authority? Or leading sporting authority? The list is different but some of the choices make one go...."HUH??"

well I don't know when they concocted the list because it doesn't say...I can tell by the coaches it was done rather recently but maybe the lists of players and teams was done some time ago but I can't say since it doesn't have a date.

That is an awful list. Yes all 50 players on the list were greats, but the order of the list is completely whacked.

    Kareem #3?
    Oscar Robertson #4?
    Larry Legend #6?
    Wilt #7?

Oscar Robertson shouldn't even be in the top 10, let alone the top 5. There are a lot of other terrible choices and placements on that list, it's such a joke.

Personality wise, Wilt did say Jordan would be on the bench if he played then. But being number 7, geez, guy averaged 50.4ppg and 25.7rpg in the same season if I'm not mistaken. Even led the league in assists as he got older. That's number 7. Guess he's being penalized for not winning enough championships. 2 to Bills 11. But still. 7!!!!

So they don't put active players on here? Okay, then this changes my whole opinion about the list, lol.

I think Wilt Chamberlain should be no. 2. I respect MJ's accompishments, so he should be number one.

Hahaha. Me too. here's a guy that's being considered as the GOAT and yet he's at number 7. I still stick with my decision thath MJ is number 1 but Wilt should be at number 2.
