His stats look ok. I'm sure he will be drafted. Here is a profile of Ryan Gomes.

He can play SF if he develops a better jumper.

Ryan Gomes will definetly be a 1st rounder. I personally think he should be a lottery pick. Anybody who has watched him play and knows ball would argee. At 6'7" 245 he runs the court like a guard and is a great passer and ballhandler. He is unstoppable inside with his great post moves. He is very fundamentally sound with his pivot moves, pump & body fakes, up & unders, and ability to create space. He shoots 36%3pt's and leads the Big East with 88% from the charity stripe, not bad for a big man. 19.3ppg,

    (for resurrecting an old post).

he's developed a bit this season, especially in the last 3 weeks. stock has risen.. hopefully they don't wind up one and done in the tourney.

Right now, he is probably just at the end of the lottery or a little higher (probably 13-19 range). He needs to work on his jumper. He's been pretty consistent with his play this year.

Ryan Gomes could be a very good player. He's a potential first round pick, but, not a lottery pick. He does need to improve his range if he's gonna be an effective SG/SF in the NBA though. Just about 19 feet I don't think can cut it.

I do not feel to highly about Gomes. Right now he is a 6'7 PF. In the NBA he would have to play SF because he does not have the strength to battle with the majority of NBA PFs. By the way he does not run the floor like a guard. If he was that quick he would be able to guard small fowards. That is Gomes one major weakness he can not guard small fowards. Unless he improves his quickness on the defensive side of the ball he will be stuck as a "tweener". Gomes will still end up getting drafted in the first round but I would not look for him to end up being picked in the top half of the NBA draft come June.

well if he can play SF then he will get drafted but he will get killed if they play him at PF in the NBA

Gomes reminds me of former Cal Bear Sean Lampley...Lampley isn't in the league any more so that gives you an idea of how Gomes might end up....very good, but very undersized...I'm not saying he's gonna fail, but I would venture to say that the odds are against him...He's a very risky pick IMO

This is to Plat, why would Gomes play PF? Explain that to me, please. He's only 6'7", he's way too small to play that. If anything, he'd be a SG if he's not a SF.

Gomes would have a tough enough time guarding Small fowards in the NBA and now you think he could play SG? THe only reason people say he migh tbe a PF in the NBA is because he does not have NBA range on his jumper and he is not quick enough to guard opposing wing players.
