    Key Matchup

    <u>Andre Miller vs. Speedy Claxton</u>

Is Andre Miller All-Star material? The NBA?s head coaches didnt seem to think so, although the Nuggets team was clearly upset with this decision. I have a feeling that he may try to come out tonight and prove a point to the nation. I am predicting a high scoring game by the Denver Nuggets point guard.

This is due to the fact that he is one great offensive player, and his play and attitude will constantly affect the outcome of their games. Especially since he's not a starter any longer. This'd probably arouse some anger, although I believe he likes Claxton and didn't take too hard feelings. Also his no longer being on a team he once loved always has him agitated, he'd probably play well because of that as well.

    Predictions

To be honest, I have a feeling that the Nuggets will walk this one. I feel that they have some pent up frustration after the All Star disappointment and that Miller and Anthony will team up and show the fans something special. Even though the Warriors have the home court advantage, I will go with Denver on this match up.

I say Warriors have a good chance, they have more power and more size. They seem to have offense just as good as the Nuggets. As much as I want the Nuggets to win. Warriors by 7 in a difficult pull away clutch win.

What ever happened to a center by the name of Eric Dampier?

Anyway, the Nuggets should torch the Warriors because they can play on both ends of the floor. Nuggets by 7.

    Warriors 96, Nuggets 87

    <font face="Arial">ESPN.com Box Score

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ESPN.com:</div><div class="quote_post">OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Speedy Claxton sure can catch you off guard.

The 5-foot-11 fireplug scored 17 of his career-high 25 points in the fourth quarter and the short-handed Golden State Warriors snapped Denver's three-game winning streak with a 96-87 victory Friday night.

"I'm a quiet guy," Claxton said. "I guess teams might overlook me, but once the game starts I don't think they overlook me anymore."

Claxton also had six assists, five rebounds and even a blocked shot in 41 minutes, going 13-of-13 at the free throw line in the final period while playing in place of injured point guard Nick Van Exel. Claxton's fourth-quarter outburst marked the most points in one period by a Warriors player this season.

"People underestimate his competitive nature because of the kind of personality he has," Warriors coach Eric Musselman said. "He's just a quiet competitor."</div>

If the Nuggets were going to lose this game, I thought it'd at least would have been closer. Speedy Claxton killed them last night. Gotta love those 5 foot tall guards.
