<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">There are a lot of things Don Nelson likes about Scott Williams. Maybe the best thing, though, is his common sense. "He speaks as an adult," Nelson says. "He knows the game, and he knows his game. If you ask him what he does well and what his limitations are, he'll tell you. That's unlike most guys in this league who don't think they have any [limitations]." Nelson is ecstatic to have the 6-10 Williams, 35, on board with the Mavericks. Williams, a center-forward, has been around 14 years, knows how to handle himself in the paint and the locker room. He is a smart player. If he were five years younger, he'd be perfect. Of course, if he were five years younger, he wouldn't have been available on the waiver wire. For Williams, joining the Mavericks has been a godsend. He was rotting away in Phoenix, which was going with a youth movement. He wanted to latch on to a high-profile team with a chance to make some noise in the playoffs. That's why, when Williams was signed last week, he identified himself on his cellphone: "This is Scott Williams of the Dallas Mavericks ? hey, that's the first time I've ever gotten to say that, and it sounds good." </div> I dont care what anybody says, this was a good pick up for Dallas. If he gets back into the shape he was in the 2000-2001 season, and plays like he did, Dallas will be a force. I mean you guys did see what he did for Milwaukee right? Full Story -- Click Here
