What a disappointing loss for the Celtics, but i'm really glad the Hawks are finally starting to heat up. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">BOSTON (Ticker) -- Stephen Jackson and the Atlanta Hawks withstood a furious second-half rally to win consecutive games for the first time this season. Jackson hit four 3-pointers and scored 23 points to help the Hawks to a 100-96 triumph over the Boston Celtics, who have lost a season-high six straight games. Jackson's 3-pointer with 55 seconds remaining gave Atlanta a 97-92 lead, but Paul Pierce hit four free throws to pull Boston within 97-96 with 20 seconds remaining. Jackson made 1-of-2 free throws eight seconds later, giving Boston a chance to tie or win. But Ricky Davis was rejected on two layup attempts by Theo Ratliff, and Dion Glover made two free throws with four seconds left to close the scoring. </div> Click here for the rest of the recap.
Sjax hit the dagger in the last minute of the 4th to put Hawks up 5, huge shot I must say. Celtics continue to slide.
I'm glad to see SJax performing at his best, the Hawks always seem to upset so many teams. The Grizzlies earn their wins, I guess the Hawks do sometimes, especially since they have SAR and SJax. Still tough for the Celtics, they've never ever been able to live up to the Bird era. Pretty sad seeing them like this, they were a great team. They simply have no presence or effort, either that or their lack of actual needs, meaning offense and defense. Still good win Hawks fans, if there are any that is.
