<div class="quote_poster">Quoting okaforever:</div><div class="quote_post">what do you mean no rush? isn't everybody in a rush? doesn't everyone want to win a nba title asap? do you want the pistons to keep waiting for a nba title? no. they're making a move now, they've been making a move for the past some odd years.</div>

It's not hard to understand, Pistons are already an east contender, waiting for a project to develop is the best option. Joe Dumars and co are in no rush to win championships=plenty of time, Darko could potenially be the guy who carries the team to the title, please remember 9 times out of 10 big men wins championships not swing men.

You have just explained why you say Pistons should of gone for Melo over Darko, because you don't like him.

You can label him a bust like any person can label Okafor a bust, doesn't bother me.

.. it's about the players on the court, forget the stupid front office winning championships.

yeah, 9 times out of ten big men win championships.
that explains michael, larry, magic, and isiah pretty much, no?

If I was talking about the 80's and early 90's I would of said so, I'm talking about this era

Shaquille and Timmy have won the last 5 championships between from thanks to great post play inside, in the NBA today you need that one great threat in the post to be successful. Which I expect to stay the same for many years.

It's all about the players on court, what point are you trying to make here? Pistons have the time to wait, there will be no team from the eastern conference taking home the NBA title anytime soon so waiting for a talent like Darko to develop is the best option.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Phreeze:</div><div class="quote_post">No one thinks hes a bust or has given up on him, we just think a project for the future wasn't worth it to pass up a sure thing and a future all-star. He's already made talk about himself making the team this year, and although he didn't many think he should have. I personally didnt, but I expect him there next season. Darko probably won't be ready until his 4th or 5th season to dominate, kind of like Dirk and O'neal did.</div>

totally agree...i just think the the pistons are already a good team, that make the playoffs, and do really well. they are in a position where they can afford to draft a project instead of immediate help.
