@ Toronto Raptors (23-25) @ Golden State Warriors (21-27) Sunday February 8, 2004 9:00 pm EST Venue: Arena in Oakland Probable Starting Lineups PG: Jalen Rose (TOR)/Speedy Claxton (GSW) SG: Alvin Williams (TOR)/Jason Richardson (GSW) SF: Vince Carter (TOR)/Brian Cardinal (GSW) PF: Donyell Marshall (TOR)/Clifford Robinson (GSW) C: Robert Archibald (TOR)/Erick Dampier (GSW) Keys to the Game From a Raptors Perspective <ul> [*]Crash the Boards: The Warriors are a big team, especially with Erick Dampier in the middle, everyone needs to contribute on the glass in order to out-rebound Golden State. Offensively, second chance points will be important, Donyell Marshall has been doing well rebounding on the offensive end. [*]Share the ball: All Raptor fans know that when they earn 20 or more assists in a game they usually win. Tonight it will be important to share the ball and find the open man, there isn't much of a chance for the Raptors to find a win if they force up jump shots. [*]Bench points: Morris Peterson and Jerome Moiso will have to step up tonight, these will be our two most important bench players, they need to be productive to add some scoring, and in Moiso's case; some rebounding. Golden State is 16-7 at home this season and 8-2 in their last 10 here. That stetch began with back-to-back wins over the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings in late-December and continued with Friday's 96-87 win over Denver. Speedy Claxton continued his strong play of late as he scored 17 of his career-high 25 points in the fourth quarter. Making his 11th straight start, he reached double figures for the 13th straight game and was instrumental in one of the Warriors' best wins of the season. ------------- The Raptors are opening a four-game road trip and have split their last six games. They had a two-game winning streak snapped with Friday's 83-77 home loss the Indiana Pacers. </div> Click Here for the full nba.com preview <font color="red">thefranchise3's Prediction:</font> Tonight the Raptors will kick off a 4 game western road trip. Lately they've been close to beating their oponents, and tonight I think they've got a good shot at winning this game, even with Chris Bosh and Michael Curry out. Raptors by 6.
Rober Archibald in first five? No . Raptors should play good defense and don't let Jason Richardson to get inside. Raps by 6
Wheres Dunleavy? And NVE? I think the Raptors wont win this one. NVE and Dampier will have big games. I hope Bosh is back...... I heard he will be back on sunday.
Nick the dick...oops I mean quick, is injured and won't play tonight. I don't know about Dunleavy though. Raptors by 4. Carter has about 27 points and stops wearing that ridiculous headband.

I hope Bosh is back...... I heard he will be back on sunday.</div> They're injured. Perhaps I should've put the injuries up, but those are the starting lineups for tonight, or atleast thats what CBS sportsline said. As for Bosh, hes still listed as day-to-day.
Eric Dampier will kill the Raptors, Jalen Rose should have a good game...look who's guarding him. Raptors 85 Warriors 78
I dunno....many times Rose has failed to use his height as an advantage over smaller guards. Claxton is much much faster than Rose and i personally don't think Rose will be able to defend him well. Still, Carter will have around 25 and Raps by 7.
Rose should also try posting up on Speedy, I might be underestimating Speedy though. I say give Lonny some minutes agaist Erick Dampier, Lonny did pretty good on Jermaine vs Pacers.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Carter#15:</div><div class="quote_post">Rober Archibald in first five? No . </div> hes been in the starting 5 every game since bosh has been injured. what you talkin about? hopefully if vince desides to wear a headband again, he doesnt pull it down so low. whats the point of that? it certainly doesnt look cool, and its GOT to affect his peripheral vision at least a little as always jalen should look to post up his man, hopefully he'll start doing that and stop settling for ugly jumpers early in the shot clock damp will be a force tonight, but so should vince. donyell might struggle a bit, since cliff is still a solid defender. should be an interesting game im gonna say raps by 5
Dampier kills us on the boards, but Lonny and Carter make up for it put up 18 and 25 pts up respectively. Raptors by.... 5
Golden State has nothing on TO. Raps by 7. Raptors have been playing too good of late to let this one slip by. I said it before. Raps will win the next 4 in a row since no mediocre team can beat the raps now. As usual, Carter, take it to the hole
With Bosh out, I pick the Warriors to win this one. Dampier will have a monster night, and since the Warriors are at home, I predict them to win this one by 5. They will kill the Raps on the boards, and also look for Speedy Claxton to give the Raps lots of problems.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting cArMeLo15:</div><div class="quote_post">Erick Dampier is going to throw Archibald around like a rag doll.</div> gee ya think so? afterall, arch is such a force vince is going to break cardinals ankles, but not before he posterizes him.
The first half is in the books, and we're down by 7, ( 46-39 ) ! As always, Donyell and Vince have broughts their A-Game in offenve , but we need to do better job difinsevly .. Raps are shooting 35% to a 45% for Warriors ! .. Defence just ain't there .. ! We're getting out rebounded badly too .. hopefully we'll have better effort in the second half ..
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting cArMeLo15:</div><div class="quote_post">70-54 for the Warriors. Can you say 0wned?</div> 2 fouth quarter points...im glad you can say owned, since our defence completly and utterly OWNED GS in the fourth. oh yea...and we won. done talkin edit yet? i hope so, cuz you've pretty much owned yourself. raptors forum...i give you cArMeLo15:
