i was watchin the grizz/twolves game today, and they mentioned a stat about KG. they said that only 5 players in the league are averaging over 20 points a game, 5 rpg and 5 apg. KG, Pierce, bron, ray allen and t-mac. id say thats pretty damn impressive company. if they are the ONLY people in the L avg'ing those numbers, thats a pretty elite group well vince is avg'ing 21 ppg 4.7 rpg and 4.7 apg. hes only .6 total away from being in that group. id say those are pretty impressive numbers. anyone who says he doesnt deserve an all-star appearance due to his numbers is just hating. hate using that word, but the numbers speak for themselfs.
Very true very true, Vince makes very good strong passes too, he's very underrated for his passing. His passing wins half the bench points too.
True! Who ever said VC sucks? What haters! LoL, I think he deserved every All-star game he went to! And, this is kinda out of the subject but last season when VC wouldn't give up his spot to Michael Jordan, and ppl were making a big fuss out of it, and they were like I hate VC! Why would he do this? But it?s so stupid because if they wanted MJ to be in the Starting Lineup, why didn?t they vote for him to? No offence though.... I respect MJ, but it?s just something that got me angry...
Yea no kidding, everyone has to bow down before Jordan? By giving it to Jordan, ur disrespecting the fans who want Carter to start. It was blown out of proportion
yea, but carter gave up the spot in the end anyways, but as usual it got made to be a bigger deal then it really was. but its not about bowing down, its a respect issue. jordan is he man who transcended the sport, the greatest of all time, if its his last ASG game ever, give up the starting spot and let the legend play. and i gotta disagree, he certainly did NOT deserve to start last year...he barely played before the ASG and when he did play, he certainly didnt play like an all star. this year he is though

Vince definitely gets alot of attention from them, and there really should be no issue about Jordan playing in the reserves. It's all about change. Jordan would have always been remembered but even the great ones deteriorate, and his all-star appearances would have eventually dropped too. They have to know when to call it. Does that mean Jordan would always have to be an all-star if he plays in the NBA based on his past? No. If they ever decide to change the balloting then okay, but yes it was really blown out of proportion.
Damn, I never noticed that. He still doesn't play the way I think he should but those are impressive numbers to say the least. Does anyone else in the L average close to that?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting CourtVision:</div><div class="quote_post">Damn, I never noticed that. Does anyone else in the L average close to that?</div> yea, there are a few people who have similar numbers, like kobe - 21.7, 4.8 and 4.3, baron is at 22.8, 4.1 and 7.8, couple others who are in the same company as vince, in respect to being CLOSE to the 20+ 5 and 5 group...but thats some elite company. vince's stats compare with every other all star. for real, vince most deffo deservs to be in the ASG. and i totally agree, he COULD be doing better.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting intrepid1983:</div><div class="quote_post">Very true very true, Vince makes very good strong passes too, he's very underrated for his passing. He averages 3.00 tpg and only 4.7 assists, thats too many turnovers to say hes an "underrated" passer. #17 in the NBA in total turnovers (138), and #11 in Tpg (3.00). So how is he even close to an underrated passer?
Turning the ball over doesn't necessarily mean you're passing bad. Many times Vince just loses control of the ball and gets stripped by people. After watching the game vs. Golden State, i could definitely see a major improvement in Vince's handles. He was so good with the ball that day.

But seriously, in both cases those aren't good numbers, passing or not. I think its safe to say that the majority of Vince's turnovers come from his bad decision making with the ball, in the act of passing.

Look, LeBron is a point guard, overrated for his passing which is evident in his commercials. He is #3 in Total Turnovers and #3 in turnovers per game, much more than Vince, yet he gets all this respect and He's SUPPOSED to be a point guard. All I'm saying is Vince is never complemented for his assists. Whereas LeBron, and Even Steve Francis has way higher turnover ratios than Vince Carter, yet LeBron apparently has courtvision in his Nike Commercials. So is Steve Francis a worst decision maker than Carter then?
Ok, let's give the MVP to Vince so you guys can shut up already. LMAO Thanks Franchise for keepin' it real for the to's.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting King James:</div><div class="quote_post">Ok, let's give the MVP to Vince so you guys can shut up already. LMAO Thanks Franchise for keepin' it real for the to's.</div> Haha, ok yes lets just do that. Us typical Vince fans are as hardcore as fans of Clay Aiken
yeah vince doesnt ssuck, hes just injury prone... the only player i hate on that lsit if KG... i dont know hwy im so surprised that lebron james i on there.

Sede, this is what I am talking about, you saw I was being sarcastic, yet you take it to heart anyway, I love it.

I like the way he performs, he's not that explosive or exciting, but he gets the job done, probably not as well as he could do. He's become too cautious, he intends to play so intelligently and cautiously that it ruins his game. I wish he'd just play like he use to, not so over the top, but getting the job done at it's best. Plus he's so injury prone, he can forget about being cautious altogether.
