Rasheed wasnt on the trading block, eh? Hehehehhe. So is this the lineup for Portland? PG-Stoudamire SG-Miles SF-Abdur-Rahim PF-Randolph C-Theo Ratliff
Holy crap. This Blazers team has a whole new look now. The Hawks have just acquired an unhappy Wallace.
WOW! blockbuster deal. gotta say im upset cuz i was hoping the raps would land theo, but what a great trade for portland. very intimidating front court obie..i think d miles will come off the bench, and derek anderson will start at the 2 spot
IMHO portland gets the better of this deal if theo stays healthy. Question is will Portland PLAY better as a team after this trade?

I personally don't like the trade for Portland. Ratliff is injury prone, and Wallace was coming around. I don't see Wallace staying in ATL for very long
Ratliff has played in all but one of the Hawks games this season 51 of 52 Not bad for a supposed "injury prone" player. Blazers also needed better characters, with this trade that get exactly that.
how in the hell did the blazers pull that off? my only concern is ratliff's production since he's on my fantasy team.

great move for both teams. atlanta gets plenty of cap space at the end of the season, giving the new owners something to work with. portland gets a defensive anchor, and a 2nd option thatll take some pressure of randolf.
I can't believe the Blazers got sooooo much for 'Sheed. Now they're a contender in the west. They'll not only make the playoffs, but just might make a big splash. Dang, I really don't understand the trade from the Hawk's perspective. Why would you trade S.A.R. + Ratiff away for JUST Rasheed Wallace. I knew the Hawks were looking for some changes, but seriously, I think this is too dramatic, and they've basically screwed themselves of their future. Oh wells, sucks for the Warriors, stuck with N.V.E. for now.

I just purely stated the amount of games he has played this season is not bad for a supposed injury prone player. Theo has seemed to have got over his past injuries this season which is good to see. Guy is a beast when he applies himself. However I find it typical you would bring Vince into a topic that doesn't concern him. But I guess thats what you guys love to do.

People giving him the label as injury prone is understandable.

I like this trade for both teams. The Hawks will more than likely throw a ship load of cash Rasheed's way now that Brandon's contracts is finally off the books. They will resign him & they will get a few more fans in their Arena next season. I kinda wish he would have went to a team in the playoff run just to add some interest but excellent move from a money making stand point by the Hawks. If he resigns & they make a few moves to add a couple more players around him they can make the playoffs next season in the east. Rasheed gives players a reason to come to the Hawks. And a reason for fans to watch the Hawks. And the Blazers did an excellent job in this trade as well. I dont think reef will stay past next season after his contract ends in '05, he'll be gone more than likely. It will free up alot of cap space for them. They have a legit starting center now with Theo Ratliff which will make Zach better playing alongside him. And they get a shooter for the future in Dan Dickau.
