I was impressed at how well Vinny played yesterday. If he can stay healthy, I think you guys have a very good QB for the whole season. He only makes frustratingly safe calls and really never forces the ball into coverage.

I can almost guarantee he will not stay healthy, especially after he plays the eagles. No offense Vikingfan, but Minnesotta'sd defense freaking blows. Even I can throw for 400 yards against them

He should have stretched the field more. He tried it a couple times and the Vikings D was on top of it, so he didn't try again. The short stuff would have worked if the penalties didn't put us in long situation.

Given the time, Vinny still has the talent. Much like Quincy Carter last year, it will be up to Parcells to scheme a way to get the most talent out of Vinny for the whole year.

No offense E4L but Eagles defense looked like Shit. They gave up 200 to tiki behind a very inexperienced O-Line. Dallas O-line is 3 steps ahead of that and will crush eagles Dfense. I would pray for some help up front

Doesn't help to lose one of your starting CB's for the year in pre-game warm ups... [IMG] The Vikes missed Irvin, and had to rely on an injured CB and a young, inexperienced CB. Given that, I'd say they did OK.

How long is it before Vinny starts locking in on the movements of the D line and starts impersonating Bledsoe?

What gives w/ E George not playing in the 2nd half?

    I'll take that bet. [IMG]

The defense isn't as bad as you think. Our pass defense is bad, yes. But, as has been pointed out several times today, we lost a starting corner back. Our linebackers and D-Line are actually pretty good. How many yards did the Cowboy's rush for yesterday?

And what's with the Eagles giving up 170 rushing yards to the Giants? I'm sorry, but when Tiki Barber owns a 13.9 YPC average against your defense, you gotta start asking questions.

My point was that Vinny looked very cool, even when he was under pressure. Towards the end of the game he got hit a lot and still kept his cool. But what else should we expect from such a veteran?

I am hoping later than sooner.

As for Eddie, he isn't your prototypical 3rd down type back. We got behind enough that his "3 yards and a cloud of dust" game didn't have a place. It had less to do with his talent and more with his style. We needed pass-catching type backs.
