But Minnesota has not missed him much -- in fact, the Timberwolves have gone 25-6 since Olowokandi last played. That is due, in part, to improved chemistry, but it's also because of the play of C Ervin Johnson and F/C Oliver Miller. The team is so pleased with those two, in fact, that a league source says the Timberwolves have been quietly looking for a deal for Olowokandi. . .</div> Link
I really like Olokowandi, he's a great guy, he was a top five center before he got injured. Only problem is he's rather awkward and slow, he is great on offense though, including the boards, the Wolves really need someone like that. I'd hate to see him go, Miller and Ervin are doing a lot better then I thought though, I just want the Wolves to be rid of that pest, Wally "Wallyworld" Sczerbiak.
If I was a betting man, I would bet that he wouldn't get traded this year. We would have to see how he fairs in the playoffs, we need a good, big body to help us good far.
I do not understand the Wolves reasoning... aparantly they want Juwan Howard but I only see that creating rotation problems. We need a solid center that just gives us consistency. I know that sounds generic but 8 pts / 8 boards would be the best. Id like to see Olowokandi come back in full health, get some time into the rotation, and see how he performs.
purehoops, I honestly believe that they should put you in the Wolves' management. Very good reasoning
Guys, all these rumors with Kandi and Howard are fake! I bet they won't trade Kandi and Wally this year.
